It has reasonably rooms, but it was a little bit cold in one of them, the other was also cold but not so much, but it did had a fan, that started each other hour and it was kind of loud. Clean sheets and a hot shower, everything you need for the money you spend The staff was great, very...

The hotel is small and on 3 floors. Breakfast is served in reception. The room we had was quite small and had no windows so resembled a prison cell. On the plus side the staff were really helpful and the rooms were kept spotless with towels and bedding changed everyday. A great hotel if your visiting Milan.

We arrived quite late and the guy on reception was welcoming enough. No info about the surrounding area, etc which was surprising, as we expected a little guidance on this. Our room was small but adequate but the door didn't lock properly, which concerned us a little! The bathroom was great, very spacious and the shower was lovely and hot...

I was greated well on arrival and then I saw my room. Apart from triping over the carpet the room was very noisy. The bathroom fan was even louder than the traffic and the shower drizzled a small amount of water. When I showered in the morning almost zero water came out. I went to have breakfast quickly to go...

Nice hotel, a good location. 2 minute walk to bus stop and 2 minutes to a nice restaurant / supermarket. Staff were really friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Rooms weren't safe, our patio door didn't lock... But we had a pull down plastic shutter. Breakfast was good, and the bathroom was big and clean. We really enjoyed our stay here :)

the place was very easy to find. very close to the city centre which is very essential to backpackers or tourist. our room was in the main floor as the reception so no stairs needed which is a plus as they have no lift. the air conditioning wasnt working, we told the reception but didnt do anything as they said...

In a good location, near the subway and the tram and a pleasant half an hour walk to the Duomo. The room was nice and clean and had a small balcony but the shower was too small and getting the right water temperature proved to difficult. The wi-fi was free but the connection perodically dropped out. Still, if you're only...

When I booked this hotel I was a bit skeptic due to some very bad reviews. So at booking I explicitely asked NOT to have the "economy" rooms. What I got was a nice and quite room facing the inner courtyard. The room was very clean as well as the bathroom. The personnel is friendly, although sometimes not very "professional"....

Pros: Excellent accommodation for its price range. Very friendly personnel. Clean rooms and daily daily room service. 3 min walking distance from subway - 15 min to go to duomo. Easy access with night buses. Cons: My room was in the ground floor facing the street (which a main road) and its was somewhat noisy. Wifi was slow. General comments:...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Dateo, a 2-star hotel in Milan, is located at a short distance both from the business centre of Milan, and from the tourist heart of the city (the hotel is just 1,500 metres from the Cathedral). Likewise, it is not far from the Central Station (2,500 metres) and from Linate airport (about 10 minutes by car or using bus 73). In addition, the central street Corso XXII Marzo is close at hand, providing a direct route into the city centre, and, in the other direction, leading to the ring roads and major motorways. A few years ago, the Passante ferroviario underground railway opened, providing a rapid link between all the underground railway lines and the railway stations, and making it quick and easy to reach various parts of the city, such as the State University, the Courts, the FieraMilanoCity showground, the FieraMilano Rho-Pero showground, and some important hospitals such as the Istituto Nazionale Tumori, San Raffaele, and the Istituto Clinico Citta Studi (Clinica Santa Rita). ... more   less
