Firstly: This hotel is in a really good location. It is located near Republica (Repubblica) station which is one station away from Milan Centrale station. You can even walk to Milan Centrale station if you wanted to but the train is cheap enough. Walk to Republica is about 10 mins. The hotel is near Bank ATMs and Supermarkets. It is...

There are two things you need to know first if you plan to stay here: that it's also known as Hotel Arno (this is very confusing), and that it's more of a hostel than a hotel (pretty much a hostel consisting of private rooms). What else: the staff is overall really nice, and knows Milan well (surprisingly uncommon in cheap...

The price of the stay is an indication of the accomadations. This is a bare bones hotel, no breakfast, but does offer coffee. The room was clean, good enough for me for what I was doing, where I wanted to stay in Milan, and close to the train station.

I stayed 3 nights here. I did not sleep well at all. There are very loud streetcars below. I was listening to screeching metal from 6am to after midnight every day. They passed by almost every minute. I could not close the window because it was too hot and had to keep the fan on. There is no air conditioning...

See my review of HOTEL ARNO to get the low-down on this place. The only good thing about this place was the staff. Old, dilapidated, in desperate need of a make-over. Not too far from a big shopping district, and about a 30-minute walk to the Piazza Duomo.

This Hotel is on the same floor, sharing the same staff as Hotel Arno. I completed a review under Hotel Arno as we booked Hotel Arno and ended up in Hotel Eva. It was awful. Terrible location, close to Central station (10-15 mins) but too far from the city centre. The room was very old, falling apart and incredibly hot...

I travelled to Milan while my partner travelled to Venice. I didn't like Milan much - of European cities, and Italian ones - this one was soulless. Nonetheless, the bus and underground are really good in this hole of a city, and, while I'm not into churches much, the duomo is spectatular, inside and out. Trying to see the Last...

The owner of this hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. The location is very good, and the rooms are big. However, when we were staying there it was difficult to sleep, because the other guests were very noisy. The walls must be really thin, because even normal talking sounded loud to us. The staff made no attempt to shush a...

Positives: - Quite close to the station. - Room was quite large. - En suite. - Fan. Negatives: - Bed was uncomfortable. - Bathroom was quite dirty, particularly the shower. - No air conditioning. - Quite a few flights of stairs plus a spiral staircase made carrying luggage in very difficult. - 20-25 minute walk from the centre of Milan.

My sister and I went to Milan for 2 nights and we stayed there. It was a little walk from the Duomo train station but it is in a nice area. We paid for a private room and bathroom. It was vry clean and comfortable. You do hear noise from the train and the tram but in my opinion it...

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
