The Duomo Hotel & Apartments Milano garners acclaim for its prime location near the Duomo and central Milan, with many guests appreciating the convenience it offers. While the hotel's modern amenities and quiet rooms are popular, some visitors suggest opting for rooms away from the front to minimize noise, and a few find the décor somewhat outdated. The cleanliness of the hotel consistently receives high marks, described as fresh and immaculate. Service is generally celebrated as friendly and helpful, although there are occasional mentions of inconsistent evening support. Overall, the hotel is considered a good value, offering affordable rates and beneficial discount perks.

We stayed here for two nights and the location of the hotel is excellent. The rooms are clean, spacious and the bathrooms are perfect! Would definitely recommend for to anyone. The kitchen facilities weren’t the best, however useable.

Excellent location, modern units with updated floors, bathroom, furniture and amenities. Front desk staff always available and very friendly. Our room was not an apartment, but just like a hotel room (ie, no kitchen). We were on the first floor and it was still fairly quiet. For the price and location, I would definitely return.
They also held our baggage at no extra cost after check-out.
Extremely professional!

Despite the perfect location of this place, as mentioned by other reviewers, my experience with the unprofessional staff in this place was awful. My trip to Italy would have been a perfect one, had it not been for choosing this apartment.

We booked this place as the check-in time was listed to be up to 10pm on the website, as we planned to arrive at Milan at around 8-9pm. However, when we arrived at the locked gate of this place, we found that the staff was not at the reception on the ground floor. After waiting for him for some 15-20mins, he still hadn't returned. Luckily, we had bought a prepaid card with local call. As tourists, it had taken us some time to figure out how to make local call before we finally got connected with the guy to help us check in.

After we got into our room, we could not find the instructions for wifi. Thus we went down again to the ground floor to look for the guy, who was not there again. With the experience in making local call, this time we managed to call him and informed him about the wifi issues. After clarification, he told us that the instructions should be listed on a paper, which we could not found. After we further asked him for a few times, he finally informed us that the paper should be put on the dining table. We then told him that there was nothing on the dining table, he still did not believe in us, but finally gave in and bring a spare copy of wifi log-in name and password to the reception for us. I must say the staff was very impolite and bad-mannered at the time. Perhaps he wants to show us "Italian style".

Another thing to remind other visitors who are considering stay in this place is not to expect too much from the "kitchenette". Utensils were dusty and the equipment was poorly maintained. I cancelled the plan of doing simple cooking there.

All in all, this place is way too expensive for this kind of service and I definitely won't recommend my relatives and friend to stay in this place.

We stayed only 1 night. Location is perfect, room was ok but please do not have high expectation. Allthough it is a apartment there is 24 hours reception service. There was a kitchenette in the room which is well equipped so can be good for families with children and baby.

We stayed here middle of May for a city break of 4 nights. The apartment is very spacious, plenty of wardrobe space and the cooking facilities are hidden away with cupboard doors. Plenty of cups, plates etc to make a meal and fully functioning fridge. The location is excellent about 3 minutes walk from the Duomo and tube station. There is a handy ‘Carrefour’ mini market about a 5 minute walk from the apartment (type it in Google maps as I can’t remember specific directions!) this sells fresh fruit, milk, cereals, all types of breads, toiletries etc everything you could want at a reasonable price. There is also an excellent cafe (can’t remember name but has Orange seats outside!) for a light lunch near the Carrefour. The owner is a bit grumpy but the cappuccinos are cheap at €1.20 and the best I tasted in Milan. Next door to the apartment is a bakery/coffee shop which is lovely and a few doors down is a smashing restaurant very cheap and reasonably priced wine. Staff are lovely in there. Having read some negative comments about the staff at the apartments I found them very helpful and polite and knowledgable about where to eat and drink so ignore what others have said. Apartment was cleaned daily with fresh towels and the cleaning staff were always friendly. All in all a good stay I would recommend these apartments and everything you want on your doorstep. PS Very quiet on a night too - no issues sleeping.

We stayed here for two nights reception was very formal not friendly, the room itself was a good size & in a great location but no information in the room regarding facilities or local area information etc my partner was bitten really badly by mosquitoes whilst we was here too others must have suffered the same fate as the walls showed the hall marks!
Tv had no English channels that worked but luckily we didn’t need this!
We had a do not disturb on our door yet housekeeping were still knocking at 11am this is not acceptable it wasn’t our day of departure!
If these areas could be improved it would be much better.

A great find. Tucked away on San Paolo St but just two blocks away from the Duomo Square. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Wonderful bakery next door which is great for breakfast and the also did the most amazing sandwiches with different Italian breads and salamis.

The room was comfy, clean and well equipped. Found it a little noisy at times but it quietened down before midnight so didn't cause a problem.

We would stay here again.

A sad story; we arrived at 26th Jan to hotel in the evening, came a long way drive through Bologna. When we arrived at reservation desk, an employee of hotel (I will not disclose her name here) didnt allow us in. She was not able to see confirmed booking even after we saw it on her monitor after double checking with our agency. Thankfully and luckily another colleague Carlo has arrived and fixed the issue in 2 minutes. Before that we had to pay extra for already confirmed room, and also were not confirmed for the next two overnight stays. It was very uncomfortable unconfident moments with my wife in a late hour of evening. On the other hand we lost the dinner time, there were no more places open after two hours of waiting and trying to fix this issue with the hotel. I can confirm that this hotel has some people working who are not able to understand the issue in deep and support you in evening time. When we asked to her that : can you call someone responsible; she answered: no there is no other responsible colleague only me and Carlo! So if there was someone like her instead of Carlo, our stay will be quite more dangerous and not safe; we might not have found a room available in that hour even we had a confirmed booking! This was my second and most probably last stay in this hotel; and I strongly dont suggest this to anyone for the reasons I mentioned. I believe you can find a safe hotel around. I suggest agencies to take this hotel out from their offer.

Duomo Hotel & Apartments is in a great location between Duomo and San Babila, Montenapoleone is nearby too. Two car parks are nearby, 2/3 minutes walking.
Easy check-in, helpful reception, and concierge. A nice small apartment that is all you need!
I'll come back!

I took the train, so can't help re the bus. Any stop near the Duomo is ok, as it is less than five minutes walk from it.

No you can’t walk from Centrale as it is too far. Change and get the metro to Duomo Station. It’s around the corner from there.

Hi, I don't know, we did not rent a car in Milano. It's right in the center of the city, so parking may be an issue.
