Clean and neat, great location, loved the details in our rooms: beamed ceilings, great artwork and antiques, comfortable bed, tea kettle (which was welcome!). Everything seemed newly refurbished, fresh! Super breakfast, friendly staff. Loved our short stay! Thanks Luca!👌🏻
since i make many trips to Asti Hotel Palio is my new go to hotel. the location is excellent. the restaurant is now open for more than breakfast. as to the charm not only did they remember my name they remembered which room i liked. since i am once again on the road it is much easier to remember where you are when you stay in the same room.
i have going to give lots of points for charm and graciousness, although i have spent many months in Asti over the years i was not familiar with this jewel nestled in the center of asti. the staff was graciousness itself when i needed a room with an over head light (after using the lamp sockets for chargers it was pretty dark). the breakfast was fine and the rooms are modernized but still have old world charm.
This hotel is located centrally so that it is extremely easy to walk around the center of the old city. Very quick checkin , as we were lucky to find an excellent receptionist who has provided us with all necessary details. The rooms were sufficient but not for a 4 star hotel and so was breakfast. Prices were on the low side of competition. Parking difficult in the area , still between 07:00pm and 08:00 am you can find spaces free of charge. Its main characteristic is its location, 2-3 minutes the most to reach Piazza San Secondo, where you can find restaurants and shops.
I stayed here for a short trip in September. The rooms are very efficient. It is a good bathroom, comfortable bed and really good breakfast. This isn't a luxury hotel where you want to lounge in the room but it is comfortable and nice. The cleaning staff are really thorough. The windows open to the street, so the rooms are airy. It feels more like a business hotel in how efficient the room is setup. I was originally concerned about the bathroom because sometimes in Italy you can have super small showers but the bathroom is well appointed. I would stay here again because it is super central and I am very particular about how a hotel smells. This one is airy, the rooms are airy and clean as I said and the breakfasts are not luxury food but very thorough and this is Italy so the food will be better anyways. This place really needs a 3.5 star rating. It isn't a luxury property but it is run well, it is good value and it is very comfortable to stay.…
From the first step you set into the lobby you can feel the passion of the employees for their job. It is run family style but what a customer service spirit they have. Iacopo at the front desk along with Marcello are the most incredible and professional front desk agents I've met in my life...and I work in a hotel! Maruska the restaurant waitress is amazing! Always with a smile on her face. By the way, the Easter lunch menu was one of the best I've ever had in my life! The rooms are spacious and very clean. The location of the Hotel very central....few minutes walking distance to anywhere in downtown Asti.
We had a wonderful time here. The staff could not be more courteous and helpful. The room was large and combined modern with classic Italian furniture. Great accommodations for the price. So close to Piazza Secondi and tons of great shopping. I will definitely stay here again! Go to Casamar for awesome seafood and wine.
Stayed just one night. Had booked a superior room which was placed in an extension to the hotel. On a mezzanine floor where the elevator did not stop so you either had to carry your bag up or down a flight of stairs. The room was big, quiet and clean. Breakfast ok in a room that was a bit sterile. Friendly staff. Expect difficulties if you arrive by car. Very limited parking space. The Hotel Palio is not a hotel (in my mind) for a longer stay, but for a night or two when visiting Asti it is ok.
This hotel is one of the hotel that i stayed during my long pilgrimage tour across europe. Even though this hotel is quite small but they way they are serving people is like a five star hotel service. Room tend to be basic but its clean and i got a very good sleep here. Unlike most of hotel in Italy in which they can't speak english, this hotel staff speak a good english that make us easier to communicate. Keep up the good service guys
This is not a four star hotel, but a typical Italian three star hotel. Good location close to the old part of the city. Our room on the 3rd floor was quiet. Pretty small room. The bed was too short for me and I am only 180 cm tall. Very small bathroom. The staff is nice and understands English even if they do not speak the language. The hotel is clean. The breakfast room is the big problem in this hotel. Far too small and doesn't have a chance to accomodate all guests when the hotel is full. Pretty uninspired breakfast. More baked goods than proper bread. No yoghurt but yoghurt cream. Bad scrambled eggs and bacon. Canned juices. WiFi is free of charge and pretty fast. Far too complicated log-in procedure and you constantly get logged out. No WiFi in the breakfast room or in the lobby.…
