Nice hotel, good food. The crew is really helpful and friendly. The prices are solid. If I go back with my family it is the only one possible accommodation. They have rooms with balcony for longer stay. Generally Asti is beautiful. Go and try!

Location is in the inner city of Asti, quite close to the cathedral. During the week, the hotel seems to be often frequented by business travellers, which is a clear indication of the hotel main objective: proessional, clean, lean. Definitely not what one you would call a family hotel. However: rooms are nice (we stayed in #10 which was equipped...

Asti is a lovely historic ‘real’ Italian town. Good base for exploring Barolo and Barberesco Wine regions and well as the Egyptian Museum in Turin. There are a very good choice of restaurants (from simple Pizzerias to Michelin* dining). The Hotel Castello is well placed at the northern edge of the city centre, and is only 15 mins walk to...

When we arrived, we learned that there was no parking nor was there a clue where parking could be. We checken in at a less than welcoming desk and went to the well appointed room. Bathroom OK, shower very small. Found a spot finally and walked to town....not far. Way back was easy too. Good sleep in comfortable bed. Very...

Stayed at this hotel during Palio weekend.Hotel was easy to find with parking on the street out the back. We bought a scratch card parking ticket from the hotel reception which cost €5. Check in was efficient. The hotel was a pleasant 10 min stroll right into the very heart of Asti. We had a superior room on the 3rd...

Wow, what a wonderful surprise in Asti. If you're breaking up a longer trip with a stop in Asti, staying here for private or business reasons, or if you're vacationing here for the surrounding wine country or outdoor activities, then I highly recommend the Hotel Castello. The combination of moderate price, very friendly and helpful service, plus large, well-appointed and...

Our entire extended family took over this hotel for a family wedding in July. The staff were amazingly friendly, trying their best to accommodate our various needs. They were even flexible enough to let us use the kitchen to prepare the baby food and diabetic meals (I doubt that is normal)! We booked a suite and loved the extra space,...

My husband and I embarked on a visit of the southern Piemonte region of Italy and stayed at several charming locations (in smaller hilltop villages) along the way. For something different, we planned a night in Asti. The hotel itself was okay (the room was quite spacious) although we found the furnishings to be a little outdated and not really...

Had a one night stay in a business trip not knowing what to expect. Warm welcome by staff and a real surprise when entering the room that was an apartment with a nice livingroom with a balcony, big bedroom and a nice bathroom. Breakfast was tasty with good service. Will be re-visiting if I get the chance. Ps. There is...

Initially, we had planned to only stay in Asti as passing through on our short trip through Italy. We arrived very late and when entering our room we almost worried that we had been given the wrong room because of the size of the room was massive. It is a very well run hotel, that is close to the centre...
