Ideally located in the heart of Orta San Giulio, the stylish and minimalistic Aracoeli at first seems at odds with the historic setting. But the unusual juxtaposition works; the contemporary rooms make for a comfortable and unique base to explore the beautiful town and lake. Whilst a shower, albeit a powerful one, in the middle of the bedroom may not...

+ Nice chic hotel located at the edge of Piazza Motta. Room was nicely arranged (eg shower inside the bedroom) and ample. Bed was very comfortable. We had a small (shared) balcony overlooking the main square. Breakfast was great; you can even eat outside, under the arcades. Reception is located about 2 minutes from the hotel. Staff was friendly and...

This hotel is situated in the beautiful San Giulio piazza right by lake Orta. Our room was on the top floor and had a fabulous view of the lake. It was very spacious, and the furnishings were an eccentric mix of Ikea/kitsch/ultra modern; the shower was particularly impressive as it was enormous and very eye-catching, and the beds were really...

The best location in town: on the small plazza just in the center of Orta. Very big and trendy rooms with a lot of innovative details in term of decoration. Good breakfast and good restaurant for diner (little bit expensive...). Don't go anywhere else if you stop in Orta.

We enjoyed our recent stay, thanks to the great staff, the awesome location and the unusual breakfast room. The showers in the rooms here, especially those highest up, are perfect representations of the unique, artsy inventiveness that one can only expect to find in Italia. We won't spoil your surprise by explaining that last comment. We traveled throughout the entire...

There is so much to like about the Aracoeli. The staff are great, and even during the booking process, their E-mails exude warmth. Upon arrival you receive a lovely welcome. The hotel is in a fantastic position, in beautiful Orta San Giulio. The view from the balconies, which overlook the square, are brilliant. Breakfasts are spectacular, and include fresh fruit,...

Our family of four stayed 2 nights in Hotel Aracoeli in April and we wished we could have stayed longer. The town itself is charming, a real hidden gem. In fact I'm torn between telling everyone this but this is the best lake town. Lake Como and Lake Maggiore are big, noisy and cater for the tourist. If your after...

Right in the piazza. Terrific, hard working staff. Room is terrific. The staff also work at an excellent restaurant a few blocks away. Loved my stay in Lago d'Orta. Excellent value for the lake region. Great if you are a cyclist.
