Good base for visiting the Dolomites. It was less than a 2 hour drive to most of the sites. The rooms are very spacious and there are enough heaters to keep guests warm especially during the winter months. Breakfast selection is also good. The place has good amenities. It has a sauna and jacuzzi. There is a pool and foosball...

A well thought out design, beautifully built and immaculately maintained, this family run, small hotel is a pleasure to stay in, and one of the best we have ever found. The hotel has underground parking, roof top sun deck, Turkish steam bath and sauna, both set in a relaxing area complete with a nice fireplace. The furniture and decorations, from...

We got this referral from Rick Steves' 2015 Italy guide and couldn't have been more pleased. Our mid-October stay was at the tail-end of their summer season, so it wasn't very full. The place is spotless and very charming. The breakfast room was very inviting and the food was good. They have a small bar area, but we didn't use...

Castelrotto in Northern Italy, in many ways was like staying in Austria or southern Germany. German the primary language spoken. The architecture and food very Germanic. Garni Trocker stuck right with that profile. Their modern, up to,date, spotlessly clean facility was perfect. Free parking. Large rooms. Shower spacious. Beds comfortable. Breakfast was like eating in a buffet restaurant. Easy to...

Second year in a raw in beautiful area in South Tyrol. Hotel is nice and well equipped, apartments are spacious , warm and well maintained. closed garage is always advantage in wintertime. Downsides are that hotel is definitely understaffed and daily/weekly maintenance is missing. we had to ask for a roomed after first week, since our stay was 10 day....

We got this referral from Rick Steves' Italy 2012 book and we were super-impressed with our six-night stay at the Garni Trocker in one of its apartment units. I could live here fulltime! The room is very well constructed and includes all the amenities and comforts of home. Clean, comfortable, and a top-notch kitchen which we used for breakfast and...

We stayed two nights in a standard room with a balcony and a beautiful view of the mountains. The owners were friendly and helpful, although it probably helped that we were Americans who spoke passable German. The breakfast buffet was huge and delicious. The hotel is a short walk into the lovely town of Castelrotto and to the Marinzenalm chairlift,...

We had a very comfortable stay at the Residence in the evenings after a day of hiking in this incredibly beautiful area. We were upgraded to an apartment for the same cost and while we were asked to not use the stove, we were able to keep food in the refrigerator and use the utensils so we didn't need to...

The hotel is modern and clean, however, we have never felt more unwelcome anywhere. The owners were outwardly rude and would pretend not to understand a word of English, unless it had to do with some sort of payment. It is surprising to us that a family-owned business could be so inhospitable to their guests. As in other reviews, we...

This had to be our best bargain in a 3 week tour of Italy. The room was very clean, bed sooo comfortable, very friendly and accommodating staff, and a breakfast buffet that offered a wide variety of delicious pastries, cheeses, meats, cereals, juices, and hot foods. Within an 5 minute walk to the center of town and bus stop which...
