The Ottmanngut Suite and Breakfast is one of those places that really make the 5-star rating system inadequate. If I could, I'd give it 6 stars for over achieving on every level. The family estate has been completely renovated with special attention to detail. The rooms are all unique and there is a comfortable feeling to the whole house. The...

Stayed here 4 nights as part of a driving trip and Merano is a good base for the Sud Tirol. Beautifully renovated property and lovely garden; we stayed in the Palmenzimmer, a tastefully decorated room, good modern bathroom and with its own balcony overlooking the garden. Martin, Ivo and Alex are all very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble....

The incredible attention to detail and location of this family run B&B make it a special place indeed. If you are looking for amenities such as pools, fitness & business facilities or a large buffett breakfast offering go elsewhere - it may also not be the right spot if, for example, you have a gaggle of kids in tow for...

We were here earlier this year and had the most wonderful experience at the Ottmanngut. We were also very pleased by the recommendations and reservations made for us during our time there. Every moment at the Ottmanngut was an absolute delight - especially those superb breakfasts! We loved the aesthetic, the history, the garden, the orangerie, the windows and views,...

We recently spent two nights in Merano at this lovely B&B. It is located right around the corner from the center of town so that it is a quiet retreat yet within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. We booked the Mitzi Martha room which was delightful. The room and bathroom were large and the beds comfortable. The weather...

If you are looking for a modern South Tyrol-Northen Italy-Alps, this is it. They have recently renovated the Ottmanngut in a very stylish and modern way by putting...

We have only been able to spend a weekend in Meran, but the stay at Ottmanngut was beyond our expectations. A personal and warm care of Martin and his grandmother. The house has been renovated with love and care in every little detail. The rooms are inviting and relaxing, the location superb in walking distance to the city and still...

We have spent a fabulous weekend at Ottmanngut. I cannot recommend it enough. Martin and his mother were so incredibly hospitable and welcoming. The family have renovated the house with so much love and attention to detail, it feels comfortable and luxurious without feeling you should be on your best behaviour!!! The house itself is a short walk to the...

I had the luck to be able to stay two nights in this great place. My room (the Wasmannzimmer) was very spacious and stylishly decorated with some antique family furniture and had a fine bathroom. A good mix between authenticity and modern. My view was on the terrace with palm trees. Very nice when you are visiting for a ski...

The next generation of the family Kirchlechner has poured their hearts and souls into restoring their beloved, historic family home, the Pension Ottmanngut, and the result is an intimate, unique, boutique "suite and breakfast" hotel in the heart of Merano. We have been staying in this hotel since the late 1970s, appreciating its charm and hospitality. While the prices have...
