Great location, close to many things. Staff extremely helpful, courteous and pleasant. The bar is a great place to unwind after a long day. Breakfast more than adequate. Bathroom beautifully equipped, but the shower with its elegant design was difficult to manage.
For business I had the chance to come here several times. Every time was perfect and the rooms really well equipped and beautiful. If you have the chance to get a room at the last floor the view is amazing (see picture enclosed).

Just returned after 3 nights at Ruzzini Palace. The room was great, with a view of canal (307). The receptionist and concierge could not have been more helpful and friendly. We enjoyed cocktails in the bar and the breakfast was good value, with hot and...More
Stunning hotel situated on the canals of Venice, front entrance leading out to a lovely square. Staff were all so friendly and accommodating, they also suggested a private boat tour around the whole of Venice (with prosecco) that the hotel organises themselves, costs slightly more...More
When you are greeted with a glass of prosecco, that's a great start! The room / bathroom was large and looked out onto the canal. We left the window open at night and enjoyed the cool and quiet Venitian evening breeze. The front desk gave...More

Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a
strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
