Fantastic hotel, nice room, spotlessly clean, fantastic staff, they can’t do enough for you. Great location, 20 min stroll to St Marks Square. Would stay again. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Venice.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It could be characterised as a boutique hotel in modern parlance; it is charming and comfortably furnished with delightful, knowledgable and cheerful staff. Importantly, it is in a great location on the Grande Canal...More
Stayed at Hotel Canal to celebrate our daughter's 18th Birthday and they looked after us so well. Lovely family atmosphere and right on the canal. Lots of great advice about restaurants and places to visit. Would definitely return. Thank you all.

The private water taxis are pricey, but they are also the easiest and most direct way to get anywhere in Venice. The hotel has its own landing stage/dock, so not a lot of carrying luggage. It would be about a 15 minute ride by water taxi I would guess. depending on which cruise terminal you are arriving at. The wait to get into the boat will probably be longer then the trip itself, but it is well organized.
