What a find, lovely place in a very central place a few minutes walk from the Rialto. Emilia met us at the vaperetto and took us back to the lovely apartment. He was very informative and friendly. Has a balcony looking onto the canal. Beautifully clean and quiet location. Very lucky and would definitely recommmend.

This is a real gem of a simple B&B. The rooms overlooking the Grand Canal are lovely and surprisingly spacious. The simple outside terrace is a delight with views directly to the Rialto fish market. We had a lovely 3 night stay and would definitely return.

I am so pleased with the hotel. I booked a canal view and it was worth it! Beautiful scenery. The Ca d'oro is just right across us. I could not be pleased enough. Our host, Anna & Emiliano are very nice. They joked with us and helped us with our luggage. They were very pleasant and hospitable. Introductions was quite...

This place has an unbelievable view; it is clean and well taken care off. The only downfall for this place is the back breaking stairs when you have to carry the language on check-in and check-out. I highly recommended for people with no back issues

I was disappointed with this place. I stayed here for five days. I just thought it would look a bit more glamorous and for me it felt quite cheap and basic. The reviews were glowing about it on here and I just expected a bit more glamour for my money.

Luciano really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed or wanted. He had prepared little baskets of treats and champagne to celebrate the New Year. Every day we had a tray in the fridge & basket on the counter with snacks and food. He really made our stay better and easier for us by explaining...

What a superb B & B. We stayed for 4 nights during March/April 2016. Our accommodation was Torcello family room with windows that overlook the Grand Canal. The room and the shared living area was kept spotless on a daily basis. I really enjoyed making cappuccino on the coffee machine for breakfast every morning, my first time. Luciano is a...

The B and B is clean and comfortable. When in Venice you're not going to be spending your time indoors at your hotel. You're going to be exploring and sight seeing. The location is perfect right on the grand canal near the Rialto Bridge. We had the upstairs loft with 2 queen beds and private bathroom. We travelled with an...

From the time the hotel manager greets you at the Vaporetto (boat/bus) stop to the time you head back to the airport to leave you are in an Italian wonderland of food, culture and people. Luciano is the manager and he is a phone call away if you need him. Otherwise, you are left alone at the hotel as if...

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
