We arrived by water taxi at the hotels own jetty on a small canal just off the Grand Canal.Very nice way to arrive. The room was huge and the bed very comfortable. For once the wifi was free and it worked!! Our room was out the back and overlooked a lane leading to a main ferry wharf so it was...

A very nice hotel neighboring San Marco cathedral. Old charming interior and excellent service. The rooms were very nice and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet gave a very good start of the day. Absolutely a hotel to recommend for a romantic week-end in Venice

plaza SaLuna Baglioni is a very good hotel, very well located nearby Plaza San Marco . Staff prepared for pampering you .. Rooms are small , bathrooms big, Everything is clean. breakfast has a well selection to please anyone. The restaurant of the hotel is super . Decorations is venetian style, very oldfashioned, but location is more important for us.

This is a really nice and well located property. The folks at the front desk were very pleasant and patient with Americans (as most Italians are) and made us feel welcome. The breakfast was good and well appointed. We got a junior suite and had plenty of room. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for a few days as part of our Adventures by Disney vacation tour (which was amazing). Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
