We could not have been happier with our hotel accommodations. Hotel Bisanzio is in a perfect location. Just outside of the tourist area, it is on a side street that is quiet, but very close to everything. A special thanks to Luca for being so...More
This was a great hotel in a great location (right off main street to port). Nice hotel, clean, very friendly and helpful staff. Our first room had some odor to it, but we let the front desk know and they immediately addressed it and switched...More
We stayed here at the end of May for 5 nights. We were very pleased with our choice of hotel. We did quite a bit of research to get a good standard of hotel in a good location. I don't think you can get a...More
Nice little hotel. Rooms are a good size. Staff was excellent, offering assistance with transportation, restaurants, etc. Walking distance to Piazza San Marco and vaporetto stop. Tucked away so you have to look for it once you're off the boat. I would stay there again.
Wonderful hotel with attentive and genuine staff. Centrally located with a wonderful atmosphere. Rooms are larger than most.
The staff inviting and make you feel welcome from the moment you cross the threshold. Would recommend for anyone.

Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a
strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.

I'm fairly certain the parking is close to the water bus terminal but you might need to drop people with luggage off at the ferry terminal and then go back to park the car. From the ferry terminal, there is a short walk from the parking/bus drop point to ferry itself. Straight, flat but a few kerbs. Once on the ferry and getting off at the Bizanzio stop, you are meters away from the hotel. Again very flat and no kerbs. Make sure you don't miss the alley way though as it is easy to walk past. It is literally almost opposite the water bus terminus. But like the others say, I'd double check with the hotel. They're v good and do speak English.
