The hotel and staff are wonderful. The room was beautiful, clean and confortable. The morining breakfast was more than anyone could expect. The outside courtyard was like a small paradise. The hotel is walking distance to all of the main attractions in Venice.
We are staying at the hotel le Isole in the Castello district. It's is a real find. Twelve rooms which are beautifully decorated; great bathrooms, wifi and a little garden where breakfast is served as well as drinks and one of the most beautiful hydrangeas...More

Great location. High quality service. Comfortable and quiet rooms. Breakfast on the patio. What more can we say! Hotel Le Isole is convenient and comfortable. We'd go back in a minute. Only a five minute walk from the vaporeratto stop.
In the midst of an active neighborhood of San Marco, is this little gem! Our room was spacious with two windows to view the hustle and bustle below but then close for nice quiet. We loved the interior garden where breakfast and cocktails could be...More

Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a
strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.

For the canal taxi to the airport, it was €120 for all that you can fit on the boat. As for restaurants, we ate at a small cafe called Osteria Calle 21. Few minutes walk from the hotel towards St. Mark’s Square. Food was very good. However, there as a restaurant just across the canal from the hotel called Trattoria Alla Rivetta we wanted to try but there was a constant line of people all night waiting to be seated. Maybe on our next visit.
