Room was very small, hardly big enough to open our suitcases. Bathroom was very clean and a good size with well functioning shower. Our room was close to an elevator but we had to lug our large suitcases up a flight of stairs. It was a difficult endeavor. The location was great, close to the Rialto bridge and a short...

We spent two wonderful nights at the Hotel Rialto Venezia last week. We were delighted when we walked into our second floor room. We were right on the Grand Canal with the Rialto Bridge and the carnival that is Venice outside our window (the windows are surprising sound-proof when closed). The vaporetto stop is right there, so getting from the...

My husband and I arrived today and were very excited spend 3 days of our honeymoon in Venice. We made the booking directly through Hotel Rialto because of their pretty good reviews on TripAdvisor, 4 star hotel and its prime tourist location. The Hotel Rialto website states that the rooms in Ca’ Rialto House has a separate entrance in the...

The best thing about Venice is getting lost. Wander aimlessly around the city, stopping occasionally for coffee or prosecco, or to enjoy the canals, bridges and architecture. And wherever you go, however lost you are, there will be signposts to Rialto Bridge? So you can always find your way home. Perfect! The hotel is good, the staff are very helpful...

Traditional hotel overlooking Rialto Bridge. All staff were excellent with one exception; one receptionist was extremely rude and obviously didn't really enjoy dealing with the public. We stayed in one of the refurbished rooms on the top floor, which meant walking up 6 flights of stairs as the lift only goes up one floor (!) so would suggest people ask...

Perfect service, excellent Hotel, view from the room is dreamy and the panorama terrace takes your breath away. If you really want to be part of Venezia, stay at the Rialto Hotel! There s hardly a place as romantic as this!

You may think that this location will be noisy and too busy but you would be wrong. This hotel is by the side of the Rialto bridge and on the Grand Canal. Everything is right here, Gondolas, water taxis and the "bus" boats. The location makes it perfect to get around. It is a short walk to St. Marks square, through...

Booked this hotel on lastminute.com in February. 4 nights. A week before we left I read the reviews and although I have read a lot of reviews and they don't always read true it worried me how many poor reviews there were. I have to say when we got there ...there were no "arrogant " reception staff ..Just Very friendly...

This was our fourth time staying at the Rialto over the last seven years and what draws us back is it's location. Everyone in Venice eventually walks or boats pass the Hotel Rialto. If you like to be in the middle of the action, this is the place! But the Rialto can be a Jekyll and Hyde experience. Not all...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
