We stayed here with a group of 6 last year NOV 2016. Rooms were small but classic looking. You could see the history of the building. Just a cool looking hotel with some classic looks to it. Very tight quarters, as is all of Venice but this is one of those spots where you'll need help with baggage going up...

Perfectly located to minimise walking as most of the sights are right on the doorstep. Just a few minutes walk to the main river taxis- couldn't have chosen a more perfect location for our first visit to Venice. Lovely rooms, small but clean and very typically Venetian. Staff were very efficient, speak many languages and were very friendly as well...

We stayed here in May. This is a quaint hotel with a very useful location to St Mark's Square and the waterfront, literally a minute's walk away, with hotel access from a busy back-street with a wide range of restaurants and bustle. We had a standard room which was small, but very clean and it suited us just as a...

The hotel is nice, staff were nice and the location is great though the structure of the rooms is a bit weird. When you have more than one luggage, it will be hard because you have to go up in a stairs first for their reception. Pillows are hard.

We stayed at the Hotel Concordia for 3 nights in early May for our Minimoon! Very easy to find from the boat stop right at the edge of San Marco Square. Location is superb. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast has everything you need to set you up for the day. Venice itself is so unique and cannot be...

Family run hotel in front of San Marco square. Entry is from street behind with good variety of shops and restaurants on your doorstep. Rooms true Venetian experience. The suites are well worth it. Be prepared to hear the peeling of bells most of night, bring earplugs. Access to reception first floor has no lift, so need to be able...

We stayed here 3 nights in April 2017. The hotel is right by St Marks and a good location for tourists, shops and restaurants everywhere. The hotel is also very close to the water taxis and general meeting locations for the tours. The staff in the hotel all spoke multiple languages, and signs in the hotel were in Italian and...

What a delightful hotel. A stone's throw from St Mark's Square. The decor is beautiful and our room was so comfortable. The entire staff were courteous, professional and friendly. The lounge bar was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing. We'll definitely return to the Concordia and would thoroughly recommend it to our friends.

This is a 4 star hotel, with good accessibility and near the principal touristic points in Venezia. I recommend it if you have fews day in the city. However they need to improve the ¨the facilities¨for a 4 star hotel, they don´t have anybody to help with the luggage from the taxi stop x Hotel. The breakfast is really really...

Hotel Concordia was everything we hoped in fact exceeded our expectations and the staff all very friendly and helpful. We ate in Concordia's restaurant on our first evening and had an excellent meal as well as enjoying their breakfasts True the bells (doubled as two bell towers nearby) are loud as we overlooked the square but not a major problem...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The rich, multicoloured marble and elegant lines of the St. Mark's Basilica brightened by the sunlight, reflecting on the windows of Hotel Concordia, the only hotel in the city of the Doges directly in St. Mark's Square, beside the Neo-classical See of the patriarch of Venice.A building that has been accommodating Italian and foreign visitors to Venice for more than three centuries. The Beggiato family has been expertly running the hotel over three generations, adding its own tradition since the start of the 20th century when Mr. Tiberio Beggiato turned what was a small guesthouse into a renowned hotel. Ever since, the women of the Beggiato family have kept the family tradition alive, proficiently merging customs and innovation, tending to the premises as they tend to their homes. ... more   less
