What a perfect Venetian hotel. It has an old world, personal feeling, probably since it has been run by the same family since the early
1900's. We had the least expensive room booked which was huge with 20 foot ceilings, Italian antiques and a lovely...More
Congratulation for running an excellent operation. We felt welcome, the staff was helpful and considerate, and we liked the ambience of the hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of major landmarks and sights, and shopping, good food, and night life. A great place for...More
Thank you for making our stay in Venice so memorable. The free bottle of Prosecco to celebrate my partner's birthday was a lovely surprise and was very much appreciated. Fantastic location close to San Marco and staff absolutely wonderful and so helpful
Highly recommended. The staff is amazing, incredible localization, 5 minutes walk from St Mark square, very clean. The room is absolutely lovely and breakfast amazing.
Loved everything. If you are looking for a great experience in Venice, Hotel Saturnia is the right location.
The hotel is in a great location that is convenient to both the St Marks and Academia areas. It was a five minute walk from the boat that goes to/from the airport. As soon as we stepped inside the lobby, we felt like we were...More

The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

I would try the Viator App. Lots of good tours and suggestions on there. We did not personally pay for any specific tour in Venice as it is very easy to walk around and see the sights yourself. We did go to the Dodge's Palace on our own and paid 5€ for the ear piece, which we enjoyed. Skip the line passes were not necessary. The line moved quick.

Yes - Ours was a double bed. There are lots of lovely restaurants around. My advice would be to just find one you like the look of. I would advise that you book though - we saw lots of places with quite long queues. Enjoy

"The interior is so old and the wooden doors so thick, I don't think noise would be an issue"
