Although the hotel is a bit tired the room was adequate for our needs, in the end you don't plan to stay in your room too long. Go out and see the sights. The room was very clean and tidy. re made very well every day for our three night stay. I missed the opportunity for a canal view so...

For the price it was okay, nothing special. Staff not particularly helpful or friendly, room small, dated and a little scruffy. It was alright as a base I guess but when I'm away, I'd rather stay in a place nicer than my own home, so I won't be returning.

Perfect location. Paid for a canal view which is recommended. Can't really expect more than to just have a room in Venice. Room was pretty spacious for what we needed but there was only two of us. I would recommend people stay here purely for the location.

Good location, great area ( Cannaregio), hotel looks like it was once very nice but sadly it has been left without much maintenance or updating thus the whole place looks a little shabby. Breakfast area for example was left a mess for a good 30 minutes whilst we were there with dirty dishes and cups piling up... not the best

I was here for my honeymoon and I liked the cosy rooms, rooms were small but very well maintained. They have limited option for breakfast which is mostly cold items, but please do try their croissant which is icing on the cake. You have ferry station just outside the hotel so it has good connectivity and you can also walk...

I just came back from Venice a week ago.I was there during the Carnival. It is a nice period to visit the city, and I choose to stay at this hotel because it was available at my budget. The others were occupied. The fact is that the hotel is at some distance from the central square where the Carnival is happening.This...

The place is very beautiful, with a old style like some romantic movies. The bedrooms inspired on romantic age are perfect. Bathroom has a good size. The breakfast service is good to, with lot of offers and good places to sit and take it. We really experiment a romantic and relax time.

Great price for Carnivale week so the simple facilities were fine. Location is right at the top of Venice but right on a convenient vaporetto route so the whole city can easily be reached by boat, even the outer islands. Décor is venetian style ie painted classic furniture, Murano glass chandeliers- not a modern touch in sight. Even the fridge...

The Hotel Tre archi is on the Cannarregio canal, found it to be a little gem of a place to stay. The hotel staff were very friendly, the rooms were beautiful and clean with a lovely large bathroom. The breakfast was adequate, to prepare you for a days sight seeing. The only minor fault was that the breakfast room was on the small side, but that...

Cracking hotel. Lovely location. Water bus outside, although we walked everyday. Didn't have the breakfast, it's was continental... When on holiday I'm a bacon and eggs man. We had a top floor room in the block out the back and it was fantastic.. Comfy bed loads of space. Overal would highly recommend this hotel.. Don't be out off that's it's...

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
