Pretty nice place. A step up from the budget hotels we have stayed at previously. Nice lobby and breakfast area. The breakfast was typical Eurostyle but good quality. The staff was helpful. This was important because we had complicated transportation issues. Handy to water taxi stations. Room was clean. Decoration style was funky, like a 14 year old girl's bedroom....

I'm regularly in Venice for both work and pleasure, and it can be difficult to find a good hotel that doesn't cost an arm and a leg or smell like mould, and is in a decent location! After a recent hotel stay, where we froze during the night and the smell of mould from the bathroom wafted into the bedroom,...

Hotel is in great location and the manager was very nice. Quite basic rooms but comfortable. Wonderful view and well priced. Within east walk to train station and great restaurants, water taxis and shops. We felt very safe. Would recommend and would stay again.

My mother and I spent two evenings at the Hotel Tre Archi and would stay there again. It is a bit out of the way from St. Marks Square but is located right in front of the water bus station and the Alilaguno Giglio stop. Short ride to the train station as well. The building itself is older but is...

Got a deal here and know why, got allocated to room 150 in an outbuilding. Next thing the cleaner opened the door, cigarette in hand. Asked for room change and begrudgingly got one from the bouncer on the front desk. Nice quiet part of town but far nicer and equal value places to stay.

The hotel is an old venitian villa converted into a hotel. The decoration in each room is therefore quite nice. The + : - breakfast buffet is quite nice - the waterbus station "Tre archi" is just opposite the hotel - Wifi is actually free. You just need to ask the login and password at the reception The - :...

The hotel is nice but please be aware of the city tax you pay. We were 2 adults and 2 kids (6 and 9)When we checked out after staying for three nights we were asked to pay 42 €. When asked for a receipt the gentleman at the reception just handed a hand written receipt which did not state 42€....

The hotel has a very good location, not far from Piazzale Roma and Rialto. The children could wonder the weekdays of the historical town. The hotel is good with nice view to the canal. The garden of breakfast is nice. The wifi is pure.

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
