This hotel made our trip to Venice. A very traditional Venetian hotel. It's quite small(ish) run by fantastic staff. It is only a couple of minutes from the nearest Vaporetto (Water Bus) ,and a very short walk to St Marks Square. It is so well kept and presented , the rooms may not be large but they have everything you will...

Literally 5 minutes walk to St Mark's Square. So if like us the hotel is to sleep in and have breakfast then this hotel is just fine. Yes it's a little dated, yes the breakfast is average but it's quite adequate. We were made welcome and our room was clean & quite spacious. Recommended unless you're after 4 or 5...

Roberto was extremely helpful with recommendations and travel arrangements. I had to make several changes to our room prior to arrival and they were most accommodating. The location is extremely convenient for San Marco and this is an extreme value for the location. The only caution is finding the hotel after arriving via waterbus. watch for the hotel name on...

Just checked out. The hotel is down a small alley 3 mins walkaway from the waterbus drop off point. It is 2 mins from San Marco square with the palace and basilica, 2 mins from Harry's Bar and bang in the middle of designer shops galore. The hotel is a bit tired in places and the decor of the rooms...

This little hotel is central but tucked away. Simple room but comfortable. A little noisy in the day as room overlooked passageway at back, but as Venice is not a night scene city this was not a problem for sleeping. Breakfast was nice: breads, cereals, meats & cheeses, pastries, strong coffee but served with lovely warm jug of foamy milk....

The location is really nice, just a short walk from Piazza San Marco (Saint Mark's Square). The little alley that it is located in is really quite and insulated from the busy shopping street just one block over. The room was bare minimum. Two small twin beds instead of one larger bed. Beds were also too short, I am 5'10"....

Comfortable clean hotel, very friendly staff, great breakfast. The position of Hotel Do Pozzi is the best with it's charming courtyard, only a few minutes to St Marks Square and about ten to the Riolto Bridge. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others. My thanks to all staff.Maureen Kulbicki.

I just don't understand why they fill its up to the hotel, to decide when to put on air con, our room was like a sauna, and was told by management, its November now, air con not needed , but believe me it spoilt are holiday, hotel it self was ok, but I wish they would just listen to customer,...

The location of the hotel couldn't be better - off the main luxury brands' shopping street and 3 minutes' walk away from the St. Marco square. Our room was big enough for three people (good quality extra bed) and comfortable enough. It was quite simple, with worn-out carpets, holes drilled into the wall to support some furniture gone long time...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
