Stayed for 3 nights early December. The hotel is in a great location- just off the main drag of things but still centrally located. The hotel itself....... well we weren't expecting 5 stars so I guess we got what we paid for....... kind of. We...More

Stayed here for a few nights. The staff were really friendly, the room was out of the way but conveniently located near the main shops. The room was well furnished, and very clean. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend coming here.

Hotel Al Vagon is well located not far from the Rialto bridge, our room was clean, comfortable and overlooking the canal. Decorated in typical Venetian style, there was nothing to distinguish our room from one costing twice the price. Staff were friendly and available 24...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

Yes you can. Nervously, we left our luggage in the corridor while we explored Venice. On returning it was in our room waiting for us.
