After dreaming for 3 years, I finally made it to Europe. And Venice, was my first city of choice. With so much history in Europe, I look for charm and Hotel Marconi delivers that. So with understanding that the buildings are old, the walls are paper thin. So you will hear...a lot. The breakfast spread did not disappoint. Location is...

If you want to stay in a hotel in Venice, prepare to overpay for any hotel... its just how it goes in Venice. There is no shortage of tourists so they can charge whatever they want. If this is your first time in Venice, be prepared to spend fortune on water bus and even more for taxis. Pack light if...

Very good value for your money, close to everything, just very noise early in the but not an issue for us as we were up early too. Very helpful staff and nice breakfast. Is really opposite Rialto station and you have nice restaurant and go da right in front of the hotel.

We only stayed 1 night. The hotel was adequate. We were able to enter through the service entrance and avoid taking the stairs with all our luggage. We were able to check in early which was a huge plus. Bed was ok, pillows were sort of flat but like I mentioned the room was fine for 1 night. Breakfast was...

I took my wife to the 'Marconi' hotel as a 50 th birthday present. I've never booked a holiday before it's usually my wife's job. From the Piazzale Roma where the coach drops you from the airport is is an easy 20 min walk and easy to find as the signs point to the Rialto Bridge. Even though we got...

We changed hotels to this one and were pleasantly surprised how cute it was!! Very quaint, with an old world feel, it was like being transported to Venice 100 years ago.. The lobby is small with a glass chandelier, old fashioned furnishings and a medallion ceiling. Great location, steps away from the Rialto bridge and water taxi service. Breakfast included, great...

First of all, I've never experienced Venice's other hotels except "MARCONI". So I can't compare it with others. So I explain this way: God location Ex. Very close to "RIALTO" bridge, airport stop - It's Breakfast was good - Clean room with old stuff - Beautiful lobby - Unfortunately my room had no window to canal so .... - Again...

Excellent location opposite side of the grand canal to the Rialto airport stop. We booked this hotel with Low Cost Holidays now bust, Frederico was most helpful in getting us into the hotel. No complaints the best hotel I've stayed in for a long time.

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
