We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Service was friendly and professional. The breakfasts are lovely with a great selection of choices. The located in a great area - conveniently placed for the main sights yet off the main tourist drag.

Can only echo all the other comments here - loved the position of the hotel - you need to be mobile as it is over a wee bridge and a fifteen minute walk to St Marks square, but all the better for being slightly out of the way. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfasts excellent - what's not to like??

dear emcauslan, thank you very much for your kind and enthusiastic review. the bridge you are talking about is the Accademia bridge, which has to be crossed to get to Saint Marks' by foot. near the bridge you can also find the Accademia boat station from where you can catch lines number 1 or 2 towards Saint Mark's. This is a great little hotel in a fabulous location, just behind the Accademia Museum and the adjacent bridge over the Grand Canal, and a few minutes walk from the amazing, must-see Peggy Guggenheim Collection. You can stroll into town over the bridge which at night has a lute player serenading you, or wander back towards the Zattere, a walkway...

Top: breakfast, friendlyness, place, rooms.... all over it's a pleasure to come here and to come here again, to make this place the center of your now and future trips to Venice. I had several hotels in V. until now, but staying at Ca'Pisani was the best solution.

My room was absolute wonderful. Clean, big, and very nice. The staff was absolutely wonderful and was there for my every need. Very friendly and patient. Also a great location, located on a quiet street but very close walk to the Academia bridge. Highly, highly recommend!!

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and would be happy to stay again. The hotel is comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The concierge team in particular were very helpful. For example, we arrived on a late flight into Marco Polo airport and I admittedly forgot to arrrange a transfer to the hotel. The concierge guided me...

dear 3ng1n, thank you very much for the nice review and - reading the positive experience you had - at this point you should consider spending a few more days at 'Ca' Pisani', exploring Venice. there is so much, in fact, in terms of culture, food/wine, shopping/traditions. one suggestion, for example - should you decide to plan another stay -...

Stayed in deco deluxe room. The interior decor was to a very high standard, both in the room and communal areas, and felt very luxurious. The only thing missing was a view (but you're not going to get that in this location, slightly set back from the Grand Canal). Turn-down service in evenings. Staff were very friendly and pleasant, and...

Lovely hotel, elegant Art Deco restoration, ideal location between Grand Canal and Zattere, away from hubbub but a very short walk to assorted water transport. Superb breakfasts, too. And every member of staff so helpful, friendly and courteous. Hard to fault, though if you want views from the windows, this is not your kind of hotel. We wanted peace, quiet...

Witness the unique furnishings and Art throughout. The breakfast which is included is outstanding. Homemade Italian breakfast cakes and real honey from a honey comb. Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
