The cheapest would be bus. there are buses than run from Marco Polo to Piazzale Roma, which is the main bus station and gateway to Venice. It's costs 8 euro. From there, it's a short walk, although you will have to go up and down one or two sets of stairs-- but that's pretty much what everybody does in Venice. Search for "ATVO venice express bus to piazzale Roma."
