Absolutely Brilliant. Superb location, incredible service, immaculate accomodation. Breakfast has everything you need and is lovely. Literally 2minutes from St Marks Square. Worth the money this hotel does not disappoint. 👋🏽👋🏽

The hotel overall was very good and very friendly staff one young lady who was on a trainee hotel management course went out of who way to make your stay a happy one. Excellent breakfast hot or cold food. They provide jellies at reception for hotel clients. Would recommend this hotel

We've just returned from 3 nights in the Liassidi Palace hotel, staying in room 205 (the "romantic suite"). Ok, perhaps not the best name for everyone but what a room! The HUGE room is a corner overlooking the canal on 2 aspects. It has everything a couple could want from a massive bed, spa bath and even it's own private...

The check-in staff were perfectly friendly, and our room was ready early, and we appreciated being shown directly to it. However, we were surprised to find it was in an entirely different new building across the small canal. This was too new, but not the rather grotty stairs leading up to it from the street (it's a first floor apartment...

My husband took me away for my 30th birthday and he did well to pick this lovely hotel. We arrived late and as we walked into the court yard it was all light up with fairy lights (very nice place to sit before we went out, they had heaters so not too cold) We were upgraded on arrival and the...

We spent 4 nights here, Feb. 6th to 10th 2017. We were charmed before we entered by the beautiful facade, lit up in the dark. Then right from the start, nothing was too much trouble for the extremely friendly and welcoming staff. The people at the desk always remembered our room number, the breakfast staff remembered our favourite table, they...

You cannot fault this hotel. The beautiful charm of this centuries old building, located perfectly to explore the amazing city of Venice, this has to be one of the very best hotels the city has to offer. Luxuriously appointed rooms, each with individual character and all the amenities you would expect of a top end hotel. Meticulously clean, comfortable beds,...

What a great choice booking this hotel turned out to be. We were a family of 6 consisting of 3 generations, in Venice for a long week-end to celebrate a family birthday. It was night-time when we arrived and first impressions were magical. What a beautiful building, twinkling lights in the courtyard added to the ambience. Reception staff were absolutely...

We had a very large room with wonderful views over the canals, decorated tastefully with Persian carpets and gilt furniture. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms have jacuzzi bathtubs with heated towel rails. Breakfast is a fairly extensive buffet and tea/ drinks are served in the beautiful lounge but no lunch or dinner is offered in the hotel....

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
