I’ve stayed here both times I’ve been to Venice and haven’t been disappointed. The location is very great and is only a 2 minute walk away from San Marco as well as very close to some great restaurants. Shopping is not too far away either....More
Great little private hotel close to San Marco ... sisters sharing and two beds weren’t quite twin. Staff were very friendly and a good continental breakfast to start the day. Nice lounge area just outside our room which was great.
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

I agree with the answer above... HOWEVER... the last two times we were in Venice.... 2015 and 2017.....we stayed at Dona Palace and Ca Del Campo... Each time we had early flights home so we splurged and spent about 120E for a water taxi right to the airport... It was a spectacular ride in the early morning hours that we still talk about! What an unbelievable experience! You will never regret it! AND they pick you up right at the hotel! ASK them at the desk....
