Literally 4 to 5 minutes walk from the P.le Roma bus station where the airport bus dropped us off. It may be a 16th Century Monastery but the place was impeccably clean. The room was adequate and the bathroom modern and clean. Great to wake...More
Good location but too over priced. Amenities not that good. 3 double rooms with one shared bathroom (literally 10 people were sharing one bathroom). No supply of drinking water. Staff friendliness is reasonable. Might find better alternativesMore

our location is very convenient. Here in Venice the prices are a little bit high compared with any other city, moreover you stay here during the Easter days.
Concerning the shared bathroom, we think that 3 rooms are a reasonable number to share...More
It's a basic hotel. Everything is what you'd say good enough. Room size is fine. Bathroom is spacious. Breakfast is simple. Receptionists very friendly. Quiet street yet only 5 min walk to railway station and that's the reason for 4/5.
Stayed here for 3 nights and was nice got a Basic continental breakfast, would stay here again
Recommend getting a water bus pass €30 per person for 48 hours

Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture
universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighbourhood identity.

It's Venezia San Lucia station. It's literally 3minutes walk from Casa Santandrea. Venice doesn't have any on road taxis ; they have water taxis, which you don't need for casa santandrea. Even if you have luggage it wouldn't be a problem as you would cross only one bridge by foot. If you have lot of luggage to carry then you can hire porters. But again it's a waste of money as the accommodation is very close to station. Hope it answers your queries. Have a nice time in Venice.
