This was just the perfect getaway for a romantic long weekend. I cannot praise the hotel and staff highly enough. The location, facilities and breakfast were all perfect. The bed was also one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Amazing from start to finish!

what an amazing experience it was to stay in this hotel, a warm & well appointed ambience wherever you turn, fabulous use of accent lighting, a most helpful staff full of fantastic ideas for restaurants & adventures, the room itself was more than comfortable, hearing the church bells next door, the views, simply a great location. Its an elegant &...

We can confirm all the other reviews with regard to the quality and service of this delightful boutique hotel. From its welcome with a glass of proscecco the service was attentive but discreet. Little details make the hotel so stylish, tasteful decor in all the rooms that included beautiful fabrics on the walls rather than wallpaper, beautiful furnishing throughout, silver...

We first stayed at Ca' Maria Adele ten years ago, for our 10 years wedding anniversary and decided to return here for the 20 years one. And it couldn't have been a better decision: perfect hotel, very stylish, excellent service, friendly and warm reception by the staff. We were absolutely spoiled by great recommendations of restaurants and the gondola trip...

This is a beautiful little hotel in a quieter (at night) area of Venice. The room was luxurious and the daily breakfasts were fresh and tasty. The only issue I had was that the air-con (in my room) was not quite powerful enough to chill the room at night (I like a cool room) so we had to open the...

The staff at this hotel are very welcoming and professional. We were made feel right at home when we first arrived, as we were shown to a cosy living room next to the reception. We received prosecco and biscuits with cream while they checked if our room was ready and to move our luggage. The room itself was perfect. The...

In the bustle of Venice, this rare and special gem is a little off the beaten path, and well worth the trip. We found the location perfect as the avenues around the big sights are overcrowded and touristy. The Ca Maria Adele is easily accessed by foot, water taxi or water bus, is near lots of great dining and the...

We had a wonderful few days in the Mini Palace apartment, just down an alleyway from the main hotel. It's located in a quiet but beautiful area of Venice, just across the canal from St Mark's Square, and right by the Salute vaporetto stop. Perfect for wandering around the city. The roof terrace was lovely and the accommodation very comfortable....

I really can't recommend this hotel enough. Its location is fantastic, just far enough away from the madness to enjoy peace and quiet, but near enough to make it very accessible. Every single member of staff were an absolute delight, helpful in recommendations for places to eat, and just so amenable. They are a credit to the hotel. The hotel...

This place is fantastic. The decor and the ambiance are very refined and elegant, all members of staff are very friendly and the location is very good. Each room is unique and though the hotel is really small and does not include a restaurant, it compensates with charm and excellent one to one service. I could not recommend it more!

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
