This place was simply perfect. The staff is warm and accommodating. They even proactively emailed me prior to our stay to ensure they had the proper set up for my young child. You must get the room with a canal view and balcony. The motorized shutters provide plenty of privacy and the canal is very quiet and picturesque. Breakfast is...

We have just returned from an amazing 4 nights in Venice. Before we even arrived at the B&B we were impressed with the very clear directions and map that were sent to us before arrival. The water bus stop is less than a five minute walk to the B&B, very convenient when carrying luggage. We got a very warm welcome...

Spent 3 nights in this stunning B&B in Venice. We stayed in a large room at the top of the B&B which was large, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. All the staff were very smiley and helpful. Please note there isn't a lift so carrying large suitcases up the stairs could be a struggle - the room was definitely worth...

We landed after a long flight from Australia. Sabina was very warm and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. It's very gold! The bathroom is great. Sabina gave us some good dinner recommendations also. The other thing which is fabulous about this place is the location. It's close to the vaporetto, and not far from the major train...

What a great find. This B&B has been renovated to a very high standard with fabulous interior design. The room was very spacious with all the mod cons you would expect, very clean and tidy. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and breakfast served in the room is a nice touch. The location is great, only 5 mins from...

We got the top room in the B&B which had a lovely terrace on which we had breakfast each morning. Breakfast was delivered to our reach each morning at the time we requested and with whatever cafe latte / cappuccinos we had requested, plus ample baked goods, juice, yogurt, jams, nutella, etc. Location is away from the crowds but a...

We stayed here a few days ago and it doesn't get any better than this! The room was large, comfortable and decorated wonderfully! Very quiet at night and a terrific bed. Modern bathroom with the largest shower we have seen on this trip. Breakfast in your room. we will be back! The staff could not have been nicer and more...

It was pretty challenging for us to get to the B&B. As most places in Venice is like a maze, this place is no exception. However, when we reach the B&B and went to our room. We were pretty pleased with the nicely decorated venetian room, with decent size, pretty big bathroom & clean. Apart from the excessibility from the...

We stayed here for several nights during our honeymoon. The room was gorgeous, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and we had everything within walking distance. The B&B is on the other side of the river from St. Marks, which is nice because things are much calmer and less chaotic. When we arrived, they had left a bottle of...

Ca Bonvicini was a small B&B within walking distance to the daily fish and farmers market, and all of the main sites in Venice. This quaint little B&B was charming, clean and perfectly located. The neighborhood was perfect for our first visit to Venice, putting us a stones throw from great restaurants.

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
