It wasn't good experience at ca' Morosini due to the following: 1- NOT welcoming nor helpful staff (Rafaela) (except the housekeeper) because we didn't get any information about location and sightseeing from her side although she was very detailed for other clients (European )... 2- Not professional because when we asked her for some information in the morning she refused...

The hotel was very clean and traditional venice. Boutique style, the host was very friendly and helpful. The price we got was outstanding. The view to the square was terrific! It's placed very close to everything!

By the time we arrive to the hotel Raffaela was waiting for us in the lobby, giving us a nice welcome and driving us to our room. The first impression was of a place in the center of San Marco that transported you back in the years to a time of carnival and old fashion style. Really well decorated the...

We stayed at Ca 'Morosini in June of 2016. Great stay. The location was in Piazza Steffano and from our room on the second floor we could look out over the busy Piazza. Our room was very nice. No Air Conditioning though, so we kept the windows open at night. That meant some noise from the Piazza. Personally, I liked...

There were many pluses about this guesthouse, the main one being its location in Campo st Stefano. Our room was very nicely decorated and we had good amenities, kettle, fridge, hairdryer.... Sadly the bed was very Uncomfortable,it was supposed to be a double but we had 2 poor quality mattresses that kept moving apart, and we could feel everything through...

Pictures accurately represent this nice accommodation. Windows on to Piazza Steffano below on first floor, which had great restaurants open till 11 PM. See owner at Cafe Stephano for great food and service. Great coffee shop nearby and two pharmacies on the square. Away from the main hub but but you can get there in less than 10 minutes by...

Hotel is located in a very good location: there are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops around. All the main sights are walking distance. Plus in the evening when most of the tourists are gone you can enjoy the real feel of Venice! Quiet and romantic! We received a very warm welcome from the owners and stayed in small, but...

The room and bed was comfortable and in a great location with lovely views. The breakfast was ok - enough to get us going in the morning. It was so special to be close to the main sights and therefore easy to return for a lie-down/break if we wanted!

I decided to take a short break in Venice, never having previously been to Italy. The hotel was fantastic. I can't praise them enough for friendliness - nothing was too much trouble. So easy to get to from the airport, a great convenient central location, a comfortable room (but a little cold in January) and breakfast every morning. I would...

Ca'Morosini is a nice guesthouse to spend a couple of days in Venice. Service is gentle. Room was clean as well as sheets and towels. Breakfast served in your room. Air conditiong and Wifi were working perfectly during our staying. As any guesthouse, do not expect to have front desk and crew available full time. Excelent location besides St Stefano...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
