Great hotel, brilliant position and immaculate. Only a small hotel but beautifully designed rooms, staff were lovely, really helpful and breakfast was lovely and could be taken in room if wanted. Steep stairs but a small lift for those days you can’t face them .......More
We have booked the house 5287, it's an apartment with big room kitchen and bathroom, it's ideal for 2 persons but can host up to three. The best is the location near to San Marco Square and rialto Bridge, less than 5 minutes. I highly...More

Positives: Very friendly staff, helpful, good enough english. Fast broadband. Comfy large bed. Fairly big room (not quite as large as photos imply), lovely en-suite bath / shower / bidet in ours - not all have a bath. Fridge in room. Easily adjusted room heat...More
Our experience in this hotel was great.
The room was so cute and beautiful.
An ideal place to relax and to be in the heart of the town at the same time. The location is the perfect one. You are so near to piazza San...More
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a
strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.

We were a party of 4 that arrived at the hotel about 0830. The hotel were advised at booking of our arrival time. Unfortunately we had to leave our luggage in the lobby unattended for 4 hours as we were told that we could not leave it in reception as this area doubles up as the breakfast area. We were unhappy and worried about this but had no other option so we took our valuables with us and returned a few hours later. Not ideal. You may have more luck if you are just a party of 2. No problem however with the afternoon departure leaving the luggage with reception.
