One of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. From the water's edge only a few metres away the building looks rundown, but is preserved in its original appearance. As soon as you enter, you are in Medieval surrounds made pleasantly modern, but not modern enough to detract from the original ambience. The rooms, the breakfast, the sitting areas are...

Just spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel. Really beautiful spot, right on the water with a 5 min shuttle water taxi across to the sister hotel which runs every 30 mins. We lovely being away from the hustle of the mainland and being able to enjoy the views from across the water. Breakfast was plentiful and ran late into...

Advantage of this hotel is its location. It is several minutes away from the center of tourism but still we can enjoy overlooking the canal. Disadvantage is also its location. The boat ride is not a big matter but sometimes difficult to go to restaurants at the main island. The room itself is not big but still good as standard...

We loved the Palladio. Venice was mobbed with tourists and the Palladio was the best part of our visit. The staff are friendly, our room was large and comfortable the the food was excellent. Especially enjoyed dining on the garden. Transport to San Marcos was easy too.

Old fashioned hotel! The loony looks like in a movie of the 70ies. The room was huge nice and clean but with old carpets and needed to be refreshed. Breakfast was fine and very fancy toiletries but In general the hotel needs an update!

We were fortunate enough to stay here as part of our tour of Europe. Upon arrival via water taxi the outside of this hotel doesn't look very appealing. Don't for a second let that be your guide. This hotel was once a monastery with elegant architecture with a beautiful courtyard garden. The beauty of this place is you are away...

Top drawer staff, room, and grounds. Located across lagoon from St, Mark's Square. Hotel has free water taxi service for guests, which runs every 30 minutes. Hotel is located on an island but is accessible from San Marcos via its sister hotel's boats that ran every thirty minutes. The hotel rooms are elegant but not very practical. Staying in Giudecca

Neighbourhood Profile
Giudecca
Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.
