Given the great supply of accomodations Venice can offer, San Luca B&B has same price level of top-end hotels (above 100 Euro) and offers same quality of a lousy guesthouse indeed. The location is nice, but the service (poor breakfast, poor attention to hygiene) is awful. The room is overpriced and kept in poor condition. Take a look at my...

BB San Luca is the place to stay in Venice!!!! Services was always so great, careful and based on attention and our needs. Manuel -the manager, was always looking after our stay and always did excellent recommendations to visit during our stay in Venice.

A little hard to find, but once there we were happy with the location and the quality of the room. Breakfast was very good and the staff was very accommodating. Small ant problem, but nothing to bad. The staff was very accommodating with early check-in and all of our request. We would definitely stay there again.

Very well located, though very hard to find, San Luca B&B as a nice place to stay. The staff is very polite and helpful. Rooms are clean. All in all, a very positive experience. Unfortunately, we had booked our room online and when we arrive we were given a room that did not correspond to the room that we had...

This hotel was in a brilliant location as commented by other reviewers. 200 metres from the Rialto Bridge and about 400 metres from St. Mark's Square. Situated on a quiet square next to a church - so plenty of bells tolling but not at unreasonable times. It was very handy to have a supermarket just across a canal bridge with...

Lovely staff and a great location. Our room was across the courtyard up a couple of flights of stairs (the exact location became hazy with wine and jet lag and we came back from dinner, trying to open 'our' door to find we were breaking into a neighbours place!!! We did manage to find our room eventually after apologising profusely)....

We stayed here for three nights in a 'prestige' room which was very spacious and overlooked the quiet square. The location - close to the Rialto Bridge and an excellent supermarket - was great. However, we arrived in the dark and spent half an hour trying to find the place. In fact we were standing right outside the building (borne...

We were 2 nights in Venice, the location is excellent , the rooms are huge and clean is more like a homie pension atmosphere than a hotel the lady who runs the place takes care of you and see's that you have everything you need , breakfast is simple but nice. Worth the price and the location , I would recomend...

The "+": 1. San Luca is in a quiet spot in the San Marco area. It's centrally located - pretty near to Rialto bridge and San Marco square, but it's nice to retreat to a quiet spot. 2. There's a supermarket less than 1 minute away! You can see it from the exit of San Luca. 3. Attentive and generous...

I don't know why they called themselves a B&B. They are a boutique inn with only 5 room wonderfully decorated, very clean and modern. Our room, on the last floor, had a balcony! Ask for that room! They don't have a sign outside so it is hard to locate it but it is literally 1 min walking fron the Rialto...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
