We loved staying in this self-catering apartment house, next to the Zitelle church at the east end of Giudecca island. There are three apartments, at least two of which share a kitchen. We stayed in the smallest, called Il Gelsomino, which has just one bedroom. However, the neighbouring apartment was unoccupied when we were there, so we had the kitchen... More

We chose to stay off the main island as we were visiting during carnival season and we are pleased we did. It was only 2 stops from St Marks Square by vaparetto so very accessible. Our host was lovely, the room was clean and comfortable. Would recommend.

We needed to be on Giudecca for a wedding and were glad to discover this cheap alternative. This is steps from the Cipriani and the Bauer but quiet and secluded and a fraction of the cost. Our hosts were very kind and left us to do our own thing. The breakfast isn't much to speak of.

My husband and I stayed at Casa Eden and loved it. Staying in Venice can be expensive and this is a great option. Located 5min by water bus to the main island of Venice this lovely small B&B offers a large clean comfortable room with adequeate coooking area. The family was very nice and helpful, and we loved the little... More

Staying in Giudecca

Neighbourhood Profile
Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A little Paradise... ....In the heart of Venice; this is the best way to describe the B&B "Casa Eden". (With two apartment, "The Rose" and "The Tulip"), It is located at the end (in the east coast) of the Giudecca island, right opposite St. Mark's square that you can reach by boat in only 5 minutes. It has two apartments, "The Rose" and "The Tulip", available for short rent and it stands out for its green garden at guests exclusive use. And after a day spent strolling the city, what could be better than to relax in a charming and quiet garden? The apartments have all been recently restored. They are equipped with modern appliances and antique furniture and the rooms are very comfortable., The antique (he wonderful period) furniture, the view on the Hotel Cipriani gardens, the peace of the place, the vicinity of the court of a famous English singer, everything makes of Casa Eden an ideal place for a cultural and relaxing vacation. This is the B&B Casa Eden, here everything is extraordinary. ... more   less
