Man, we loved Verona. We were there for about 18 hours total and that was about perfect to see the town. When we arrived, the lovely woman at the front desk looked at us and said - "You look very nice, I will give you a romantic room." I also told her we would be checking out very early in...

We stayed at the Torcolo for 3 nights May 9 to 11 and it was quite satisfactory. Our room on the top floor at the end of the hall was a bit dim but overall the size of the room and the bathroom were good. The only negatives I could think of were the rubber strip at the bottom of...

We have just returned from a four night stay in the Hotel Torcolo and it was a most pleasant and comfortable stay. The Hotel is family run and the ladies who run the hotel could not do enough for us. They were most accommodating, providing us with breakfast after breakfast had finished, ensuring taxis were ordered when we required them...

My wife and I stayed here for one night and found the place just about perfect for our needs. We knew going in that it wasn't a five star property based on the rate we were paying, but we were only concerned with having a decent place to stay for the night. We found the front desk staff to be...

I stayed with my partner at Hotel Torcolo in Verona for two nights. Having been in Venice beforehand and been a bit disappointed by the hotel there, I was pleasantly surprised by place. We stayed in room number 34 on the top floor. It was an ensuite room with a king size bed, TV, minibar and air con, which we...

My husband and I spent two nights at the Hotel Torcolo in May. As reported in other reviews, the location of the hotel is terrific, just steps away from the main square and the amphitheater. Our double room was of moderate but adequate size and quite comfortable except that the lighting was very dim, a definite drawback for those who...

The Hotel Torcolo is charming, comfortable, well priced, and fabulously located. We enjoyed our stay there very much, and Verona is marvellous. Our room at the Torcolo had one of those unusual European bathrooms--the shower was separate from the bathroom and opened right into the room--but unlike some other places we stayed the shower was roomy and they have big...

Quick overview: Just spent 22 days (April 9-30) in Italy as a single traveler: I stayed in 12 hotels priced from 50 to 80 Eur/night. I looked long and hard on the Internet to find the best hotels I could afford. In general, most of them are better than “budget/backpacker” hotels and you get great value for your buck: I...

A very nice, clean hotel, with all the facilities that you might need. The central location is ideal for exploring Verona, and the trip from the station is easily manageable on foot or by taxi. Breakfast is basic, but overall, we could not fault the hotel for a city break
