First impressions from outside were a bit negative and there was scaffolding outside. To enter you have to go through a big door into a courtyard, then through another door leading to the first floor, with the entrance of the hotel and reception area. Once inside the old worldy look and decor was bright and cheerful. The bedroom was big... More

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. We found the location to be great for excursions into the historic centre. It's very near some of the great markets in the city and there were some good places to eat nearby. Marco was an excellent host, very lively character with a lot of good hints and inside knowledge. It's... More

For the second time we had spend three days at hotel etnea 316 and we had a very special stay again: a friendly warm welcome, a jovial and clean room, a many-sided breakfast and the best tips to spend our time in Catania! It was an awesome holiday time, Marco and all the team, thank you very, very much!

I stayed here with a friend for one night; the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was large, clean and had some interesting architectural features, the breakfast was good. The location is very central and it was easy and inexpensive to get here to and from to airport by bus.

Great check in, plenty of information given and into the room. Nice and clean, comfortable bed, good functional bathroom. Could do with a little more lighting in room 10. Breakfast was fine. Marco and his colleagues were friendly and helpful throughout our stay and dealt with everything very well. Many thanks

This is a no frills B&B it's location is excellent for a short visit to Catania. The rooms are large and clean with air con Breakfast is minimal but you can always use one of the many bustling Street cafes nearby. I'm currently on my 3rd visit the only downside is that the welcome on arrival can be over enthusiastic.

Hotel Etnea was our worst stop this trip (5 weeks). Facilities are old and very tired. You must travel into the building and then up more stairs to reach the hotel. Not a problem if it's worth reaching. Room was large and reasonably clean. Shower was miniscule. Staff varied greatly...one warm friendly and helpful. One promoted a friend 's restaurant... More

Ciao Martha thanks for your nice words about the room the cleaning and our staff ...... .I would specify that all hotels in the center of Catania are realized inside the palaces of the end 800/900, therefore, are not the old structures but ... .. “aristocratic houses” I would also like to specify that as far as the trip to... We have been for a couple of days in this simple Hotel and we can fully recommend it. The rooms are spacious and clean. A minibar which really works. Also a good working a/c.
