This place was our last minute choice and I was delighted to find the communication with the owner so easy and quick. We were using whatsup, the owner responded promptly, offered us a good deal with breakfast and agreed to a free early check-in. The place is fairly clean (bearing in mind the overall "cleanliness" of Sicilian mid-price accommodations), the...

We have stayed at B&B Residenza Umberto for 7 days. I think this is very good place to explore eastern Sicily. The B&B is located at one of the main streets in Catania (Via Etnea) so that means you have good connection with airport (Alibus), central train station (Catania Centrale) and bus terminal. It was easy to reach Etna, Taormina,...

Booked this place for three nights because of the pictures of the bedroom, bathroom and breakfasts. Yes the rooms are clean but they were actually really dark. We had the private external bathroom which is starting to worn out and dampy. The breakfast was not as generous as shown in the pictures. We were only offered several crossants (filled with...

When we arrived the door was locked and we had to call the owner who initially said we would have to wait 20 minutes, 10 minutes later his wife arrived to let us in. Unfortunately she spoke no English but we spoke to the owner again on the telephone and he explained where we could park and breakfast times etc....

this friendly B&B is in good location, very close the centre, the room was clean, the AC worked well, we didn't have chance to meet the owner Gildo, but he called us when we arrived and gave a lot information about the city, we had a problem with the credit card company which double charged us for our stay, but...

The B&B is very centrally located in the city of Catania so that the main shopping and sightseeing street Via Etnea and a small street with lovely restaurants are nearby. The host provides you with pastries, yoghurt, coffee and tea in the morning. In the fridge you also always find water. The room is very clean and quiet. Upon arrival...

Spent a week here in July 2016. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the lively via Umberto. Don't be put off by the external bathroom, as it is exclusively yours during your stay. The biggest selling point is it's location, within walking distance of all sights, close to a number of good restaurants and bars,...

We booked a room for three people. The room is very nice, clean and well-equipped. The B&B is located in the city center, near many restaurants and attractions. There is self-service breakfast with croissants, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea and yogurt. Although our room was next to a main street, the room was quite noise-isolated and the curtain was thick enough...

I made a reservation saying i will arrive around the midnight, though they clearly stated that they only accept the check-in until 9pm. it was unfortunate that i cannot stay at their place, it was fortunate that they are kind enough allowing me to know that they cannot host me because of that by email and not to pay the...
