NH Palermo is celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere, complete with a DJ by the pool and chic decor, offering a lively backdrop for guests. Its prime location is a hit among visitors eager to discover Palermo's sights on foot, though it's a short stroll from the city center. The hotel's amenities, including the expansive pool and roomy accommodations, are generally well-received, though there are occasional comments about outdated elements. Guests commend the overall cleanliness and the attentive service, despite some noting occasional lapses. For many, the hotel presents a good value, with some caveats regarding extra costs and minor upkeep issues.

We return every time we arrive by ship in Palermo for our lovers' tours of Sicily, both upon arrival and upon departure.
It has a secure guarded car park where you can safely leave your car with your luggage in the trunk.
You can reach the port terminal in 10 minutes by car, easy to reach along the seafront.
It has the botanical garden next to it which is worth a visit not to be missed.
Ballaro' can be reached on foot, or in 10 minutes by car.
Excellent restaurants, ice cream parlors, pastry shops and takeaways within walking distance so as not to miss out on the experiences of the flavors and aromas of Sicily. Located on the sea front, it has modern sea view rooms in B&Bs at a competitive price for Palermo.
Lunch and dinner served by the pool (large)
What is most satisfying is being able to have breakfast in the morning outdoors in the outdoor park, with an incredible variety of choice of local products and high quality and fresh foods.

We booked quickly because we needed 2 nights in this hotel directly at the reception.

Taking 2 reflections it is clear that they made us pay a few tens of € more than the usual booking.com and as soon as we checked we were asked to pay the entire sum.

The room was small, with obvious maintenance problems in the bathroom: shower faucet half disconnected.

Pleasant restaurant and breakfast, even outdoors, with good food.

The thing that left us even more perplexed was the shocking management of the swimming pool: crowded, noisy due to the rudeness given to probably external guests who occupied it using radios or anything else worse than a fourth-rate disco. The hygienic conditions granted to small children in the water in the adult pool with diapers etc. they really left us perplexed, for the good of the children themselves.

The hotel is not up to par with other NHs we have used.

Overall, we chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Old Town and its swimming pool, to keep cool in the hot month of August. Overall, we thought the staff were very kind and we slept well in the beds, but in my opinion the hotel needs significant updating to be considered a 4 star hotel. I had stayed in another NH hotel recently (Utrecht) and it was echelons above the NH Palermo in quality, so I was a bit disappointed by the NH Palermo. The swimming pool was very crowded (which we expected in August), but unfortunately this led to the bathroom in the pool/bar area being really unpleasant. Completely wet, unclean, no toilet roll.. just not enough toilets to accommodate all of the guests in the pool area. The room itself was clean, but the shower and sink area in the bathroom had some cracks in it, which is common for water bugs to come through, so we kept all of our belongings zipped up in our cases. NH Palermo is listed as a 4 star hotel, so we expected a bit better quality. But, if you are only looking for a comfortable, air conditioned place to sleep while visiting Palermo, the location was perfect and it would fit your basic needs.

Average hotel, we had to constantly ask for items such as a kettle or slippers. The tea was not restocked in the rooms so we had to get teabags from the breakfast. Breakfast was the same everyday so by the end of our trip we didn't even bother going for it - no hot food is served. Room cleanliness is not very good - we had a massive cockroach join is 1 of the nights and water is not served daily as per other hotels. Positive was the location is a bit peaceful from the busy old town which is 20 min walk away.

I love the "minimalist luxury" style of NHs and always appreciate the friendliness - often even the friendliness - of all the staff. I find the supplement of only 20 euros required for room cleaning for quadruped guests civil and respectful (elsewhere they ask for much more).
Overall: the NH experience is always welcoming and relaxing, and the price/quality ratio is excellent.

Advantages: Very good location and with a swimming pool.
The bad: excessive noise from 7:45. The window insulates very well so the noise from the street cannot be heard. However, the room maids spoke very loudly and knocked on doors from very early on.
Then, breakfast is until 10:00am. If you are on vacation, you may not want to get up in such a hurry and gobble up the food.
And finally, the bathroom is very uncomfortable, absolutely everything gets wet when you shower. And the smell from the pipes is horrible.

If you are going to explore the city on foot, and you are a very early riser, this is probably a good hotel for you. If you combine rest with tourism…there will be days when you are exhausted.

My husband and I stayed at the NH Palermo twice -- at the beginning and end of our holiday in Sicily, and the two experiences could not be more different! We were very pleased with our first visit for two nights. The room was on the third floor and was clean, with an excellent view and a top-notch bathroom. Our second visit was less successful. The room was on the first floor and the balcony door locks were broken; opening from the outside regardless of what we did. (My husband wasn't too pleased to go out for dinner with such a vulnerability, but we weren't going to waste our last night in Palermo waiting for maintenance.) All the toiletries were filled with the same watered-down soap -- even though they were labeled distinctly something else (hand lotion, conditioner, shampoo.) The bathroom mirror had a chip in the top corner. The tile around the shower tap was cut too large, leaving at least a 1/2" space. Black mold was on the grout in several locations. In both rooms the mattress was considerably firm. I thought it felt similar to sleeping on a box spring. With all that said, there were many pluses to the hotel. The breakfasts were well-stocked and the staff were professional. The music outside the pool area created a relaxed ambiance and the furnishings in the lobby were stylish and comfortable. I would definitely stay at NH Palermo again.

Paid for by a conference organization, so I don’t know the cost of the overnight stay, I was assigned a standard room, rather spartan, however dignified. The clothes hangers on the wall and the support for the suitcase were missing, so I always had to open it by placing it on the floor: in general there were no solutions to put the things you bring with you on trips and so I found the room not very functional. Wi-fi quite slow at certain times; soundproofing non-existent. Well instead the bathroom, complete and modern. Positive note is that the rooms are plastic-free. Breakfast varied and satisfying. Common spaces rather small. The hotel has a swimming pool and conference rooms. The location is in front of the seafront, although separated by a very busy street; next to it is the Botanical Garden

Don’t even know where to start because everything and everyone was perfect! From the spacious suite with three balconies to the food in the restaurant the service is amazing. I have celiac, so starting from the breakfast where they offer gluten free cereals, gluten free croissants, yogurts, fruit, eggs, bacon, juices, assortments of gluten options such as cakes, breads, muffins, croissants and etc..to the full dinner menus of meat or fish and warm gluten free rolls and desserts, homemade ice cream. The pool is always clean and the lifeguard sweeps leaves and disinfects the lounge chairs. The bar is open until 1am and they can offer you a snack in the middle of night. After 3am they open a limited breakfast area for people with early flights. The ac is on point during a 120 degree Fahrenheit heatwave. From Claudio M., Martina, Silvana, Claudio,Matteo at the acqua bar, Antonella in housekeeping and so many more the staff is just so helpful and seriously make the stay wonderful.
