Big room, which seems even a bit too big. Clean, aircondition, pool. Friendly staff, possible to eat outside at the pool. The hotel is a bit outside of the center of the city, but just opposite the street is the coastline.
A large fairly standard probably mainly a business hotel but the room had a lovely view out to the port and sea. It was compact but comfortable and pleasant. There is a nice pool where you can take the buffet breakfast. It’s about 20 mins walk to the four corners, a central point. Palermo is a lovely city.
Like many locations there is good and bad. First the good. The hotel is in a nice location by the marina. Food at the restaurant overall was above average but the staff work tirelessly. That is where it ended for us. The front desk was rude and not helpful for the most part. They seemed annoyed every time we asked them a question or for a recommendation of places to eat. We had two rooms. One smelled of smoke and the other of mildew. The AC rarely made it cold in the room. The hotel seems to have been updated recently but the rooms were dirty/dusty and run down in many areas. If you pay for the water view then be prepared for it to be very loud-especially on weekends. There is a busy street and many parties right outside your window. If you are from the US, expect there to not be wash cloths. That is not uncommon in Europe and this hotel was no different. Lastly, we purchased a third room for a friend who's flight got canceled. This hotel would not refund us and walked away from us when we tried to get an explanation other than "it is our policy".…
We recently stayed in NH Palermo and chose a more expensive room with a balcony on the 4th floor, facing the sea. The room and bathroom were small and the room was decorated very blandly. We paid on average £175 a night and at this rate I would expect a bigger room, a larger bed and top quality bedding, which wasn't the case. The breakfast is varied enough and the swimming was a nice place to relax. There's nothing very wrong about this hotel but it's looking tired and not worth the money we paid. If you can get a room for 100£ a night, do it, otherwise search further!
Friendly reception staff, very large hotel room with full bathroom and walk in wardrobe, lovely restaurant, lots of seating options and lovely pool (not heated though). Great walking distance from botanical gardens and the old town part of Palermo as well as the marina front.
I was traveling internationally and my flight to Italy was canceled. I tried to cancel my reservation, but was told I would not be reimbursed because I had prepaid. There is no indication of this policy on the website. The customer service was less than helpful when dealing with this issue.
We booked a suite - sofa bed was broken, aircon was broken, phone was broken, wifi was broken! Waiters took over an hour to make any drink, very limited selection for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Not worth a visit at all! Additionally serious breaches of data protection have occurred - concerning and disappointing in every respect, I wouldn't waste your time or money booking this hotel. Unfortunately having stayed in other NH hotels previously this was not the experience we expected. Following the visit 2.5 months ago, feedback and concerns have been ignored by customer services, head office and the local hotel.
This hotel is a decent 4 star hotel. If you are laid back, you will have no problems here at all. The reviews moaning are expecting champagne with a prosecco budget. We booked this hotel on lastminute and had a wonderful time. Staff were welcoming and helpful, the pool is an oasis in the city centre, location is perfect (5 minute walk to 2 great food vendors (Bar Touring - must try their huge arancini balls specifically meat or sausage, and Friggitoria Chiluzzo - very cheap and authentic street food) Two small improvements could be asking if you would like the beds zipped together upon/pre arrival (they are two small doubles pushed together but do split apart overnight leaving a gap, they can be zipped together we fumbled our way around and worked it out ourselves) and the second would be the pool music. As a laid back pair this was quite funny because they played the same 5 songs every day and played them on YouTube so you would have a candy crush or Italian film advert playing out around the pool every 10 minutes, but I can see how this would be annoying to someone else trying to relax! Overall a really good stay and would recommend if you find on a deal and are looking for an easy hotel that will allow you to enjoy the Vucciria market both in the day and the evening. It gets pretty wild on Friday and Saturday nights; especially around a restaurant called Al Tentacolo!…
We chose this hotel as it had a pool. The pool area was littered with cigarette butts, sqashed tomatos and bits of food under the broken old loungers along with someones toe clippings. The pool attendant wiped the dirty floor then dipped the mop in the pool, then put chlorine powder in the pool when people were swimming, Disgusting. We sat for an hour or so and ended up covered in mosquito bites through the filth. The rooms are clean and the staff very nice. Dont bother upgrading to a superior room with terrace, non of the terrace rooms get the sun so for me that was not worth the extra £580. The breakfast we found to be nice, no good if you like an english fry up tho. Plenty fruit, cereal, croissants etc etc. Plenty tea and coffee machines so no waiting. The evening food was a disaster we walked out and left it, cold pasta and tinned fish dish.. Yukk awful. Great little bar opposite Villa Guilia round the corner serving fresh pizza etc etc very reasonably priced. This is not a 4 star hotel, the photos look great but once you get here and see things close up its something else. Hard to see from my photos. We are still here till next week so will be spending our time at mondello beach..…
the level of cleanness was beyond outrageous. Pool super dirty - we had to change the room as they didnt check if it was all ok. Conditions of the hotel are indecent. Understaff. all the areas are decadent and dirty
