LOCATED IN THE HISTORICAL CENTRE OF PALERMO, SICILY. Founded in 1874 and renovated in 1907 by one of the great masters of the Art Nouveau Style, Ernesto Basile, the exquisite Grand Hotel Et Des Palmes hotel exudes historical charm. Grand decor of marble floors and antiques combine nicely with very latest technology to make your stay a memorable one. The recently restored restaurant, bar and banquet room can host all your personal and professional events in great style turning them into unforgettable moments.

What an amazing hotel with first class amenities and staff to complete the package. With historical architecture and complete renovation only a few years ago, des Palmes was by far the best hotel after stays in Florence, Rome, Sorrento and Salerno. Dario and Vito were outstanding in recommendations as well as helping me with a couple of special needs. Breakfasts were very well done with attentive staff, great selection in a beautiful setting. Don’t hesitate, stay here, you won’t be sorry.

I love this hotel and stay there multiple times a year. The rooms and hotel are beautiful. The food is wonderful and drinks are amazing. The best part of the hotel is the staff! They are so friendly and helpful. Words alone doesn’t do this hotel justice, you must experience it to see how great it is! Five stars!

We've all experienced this: book a hotel based on reviews here, arrive at hotel, and it's not quite as nice as we expected. But not at the Palmes! It was even better than expected! Beautiful public spaces, large luxurious rooms, very friendly staff. Often 19th century European "Grand Hotels" feel very 19th century: worn out, way past their prime. Not the Palmes! Everything felt fresh, clean, and new. Highly recommended!

Beautiful hotel with great staff and wonderful breakfast. “Superior” room lacked basic 5-star amenities, including a reading chair (in the empty corner), an extra blanket or duvet, and artwork on the walls. Location was excellent for exploring Palermo by foot.

The hotel was clean and the location convenient. All of the staff was friendly and the room very large for a European hotel. Common areas were also very nice and spacious. Breakfast was great and the room very nice space to relax.

The Hotel itself is very nice. The rooms were clean and of nice size. Thats where the good ends. The room we stayed in had something above us making noise at all hours of the day. Since we were on the top floor I can only guess that it was workers in the restaurant or some sort of maintenance. Impossible to sleep with the noise all night along with the AC not working. We ate at the 5th floor restaurant both nights we stayed at the hotel. The first night was pleasant however the 2nd night was terrible. Stick to the sushi menu because their “Italian twist” menu is not good and it took forever to get our food. We were also not given the wine that we ordered but were instead charged for a higher priced bottle of wine. On to the worst part of the hotel, the bar on the 1st floor. The service is atrocious for both breakfast and drinks. It took 30 minutes at breakfast to get a cappuccino after reminding them that we did not get it. No apology was given. But I guess I should’ve been happy with actually getting it since when we went back for drinks and we sat at our table for 45 minutes after ordering a 2nd round of drinks and no one ever came with them or came to help. Save your money and find a better hotel, the service needs to vastly improve before they can even get to 3 stars.

Excellent Hotel good location, but overly expensive, everything was almost perfect, staff, food, decor, cleanliness, a Hotel not for everyone. Large rooms, comfortable beds, full bathroom facilities and all needs are catered for.

The Grand Hotel Et Des Palmes is a magnificent hotel with exceptional staff throughout the hotel. It all starts with Vito Riollo at the front desk. He's an impeccable gentleman with a desire to make your stay a lasting special memory. The food is excellent - you must try the rooftop restaurant. The food and wine were amazing. If you need transportation for a local tour, ask for Gaetano. He is charming, friendly, and very engaging. Can't say enough positive things about this hotel. You can't go wrong at the Grand Hotel Et Des Palmes.

We stayed one night in Palermo. The Grand Hotel et Des Palmas was an excellent choice. From the moment we entered the door, we felt welcomed and valued. The accommodations were beyond excellent. The breakfast was extensive and delicious. Definitely consider this location when visiting Palermo.
