we stayed here for one night. Arriving in the evening was a bit of a shock since part of the neighbourhood was run down, but the following day in full light we realised that a lot of palermo antique center is run down!!! the palazzo is beautiful and tastefully decorated, the room was ample very well appointed, the hygiene & beauty products as well as the bath towels were of very good quality. breakfast buffet was fresh and sufficient and included gluten free products which was great as I am celiac and had run out of my own supplies. The staff were very very friendly efficient and always available to help. There is a small square right in front of the hotel where you can park. We are planning a second trip to Palermo and will definitely stay there as a direct booking onto the website of the palazzo gives you an unbeatable rate that includes breakfast buffet. We stayed four nights as this gem of a hotel. It is a beautifully converted old palace in a quiet square yet very central to all the sights of Palermo. 5 minutes walk to Quattro Canti and about 10/15 minutes walk to the Cathedral. Also it is very near to the lively market of Palermo. However, more important are the wonderful staff. The people on reception could not have been more friendly or helpful. Our thanks particularly to Vittorio and Francesco, but they were all great. The price also included a very good breakfast taken in a delightful courtyard - beautifully made cakes, salami and cheese, very well cooked scrambled eggs, fresh fruit and fruit juice. All made to order and served by a charming waitress. I highly recommend this hotel.

The Palazzo Brunaccini hotel is an excellent and recommended hotel.
Located close to the Ballaro ancient market in the ancient part of Palermo.
The hotel's great location that is very close to old Palermo’s tourist sites, making it possible to go hiking / walking to the most important tourist sites (as my wife and me have done).
The hotel itself is located in a newly renovated building that looks amazing.
Amazing interior design and plenty of sculptures, pictures and furniture that looks like taken from a museum.
The staff were great, execelent service, advice and help on any topic we needed. Mainly the very late-night shuttle to the airport.
The room itself was excellent, the shower room was spacious and well-equipped.
BUT the BIGGEST surprise was a Double Jacuzzi bath, an amazing surprise and a GREAT Pleasure.

This hotel was beautiful however the location is awful. The front door is locked 24-7 and there are undesirables in the parking area in front at all hours of the day and night. There is a library at the end of the small parking square where people are tucked into the pillars doing illicit things. Our room faced the parking lot so at night it sounded like these people were in our room. The breakfast was minimal which I am not sure if it was because it was off season. The only staff that was nice and took the time to answer our questions was Francesco. He was very helpful. Another note on parking. If you park in Palermo you need a parking pass. You can buy one at the tobacco shop for a small fee. Once you have it, you need to text the number along with your license plate number to activate it. We were having a hard time as it would not accept a text from our US phone or WhatsApp. When we asked someone at the hotel desk, his reply was that the directions are in English on the back. I was able to find an App called ZTL Palermo. This worked and we were able to park legally. I informed Francesco of this App so he could let other guests know.

We stayed here twice in the same week, visiting the island of Ustica in between. So, having seen two different rooms, it's safe to say you've got to be somewhat lucky on that front.

The rooftop rooms are spacious, and truly quite nice bar the fact that they have nearly no window / sunlight of any kind. Very depressing after a while (oh, and you can forget reliable WiFi in this place). On top of that, it was a crying shame that the airco decided to spew out a pile of crap all over our bed when we turned it on. Cause it was late at night, no one was available to clean things up. We then asked for a vacuum cleaner and we'd do it ourselves, but the person on duty had no access to one, so instead of going to bed, we spent 20 minutes cleaning our own bedding, the floor around the bed, etc from a pile of nasty black moldy dust that probably come out of some airco pipe. It went everywhere, and it was absolutely revolting.

The next room we had (we prebooked both visits so no way to cancel anymore...) was smaller, but we didn't feel so trapped and at least it was clean, without mishaps.

Outside of the hotel, the neighbourhood isn't anything to write home about. In fact, it feels borderline unsafe. Then again, so does perhaps much of the rest of Palermo. It's not that much of a walk to anything though so for the price, probably ok?

Shame we had the above happen, cause had one of the best spaghetti dishes ever in their restaurant. Supremely tasteful and simple, with fresh ingredients.

We didn't actually stay here but we visited twice as our nearby B&B had arranged for us to have our breakfasts here. The hotel is near to Chiesa del Gesu in a quiet little square and it is very nicely decorated and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast choice was huge so you would find lots to enjoy - hot, cold, sweet, savoury and lots of homemade pastries. On the first day we were able to eat outside in a lovely courtyard but not the next day due to overnight rain - inside was a nice environment too though. Having now visited, we would definitely consider staying here another time as it's a good central location.

We stayed a couple nights at this hotel. Firstly, the room we were given was spacious, however it had a strange smell which never went away. We had a jacuzzi in our room which also smelled and would make me think that it hadn't been cleaned properly so was never used. The neighbourhood is a little bit undesirable. We never felt in danger but I would be conscious walking around here at night alone. The staff were generally accommodating and the breakfast was on par for typical Italian hotel breakfasts.

From check-in to check-out, service was great. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, as was the lady who is managing breakfast. The room was beautiful and nicely decorated. The entire hotel is filled with artwork and felt very elegant. The sights in Palermo are all just steps away - the location is a bit hidden but there are signs along the street pointing you the way to the hotel. At night it didn't seem like a great area to be alone but the hotel has security cameras and watches to buzz open the door as soon as you approach to enter. This was really a great place to stay and I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for some charm in the center of Palermo.

We looked for a small sized City accomodation and we found Palazzo Brunacchin, just steps from bustling heart of Palermo. Look to their wvey good website. Very professional. Quatro Canti is just some hundred meters away. We cam late with ´ferry boat from Genova, with car and dog. Found the hotel quiet easily with GPS, without not possible. A very warm welcome by the concierge
followed. We stayed 2 nights, we would have stayed longer but time for our November holidays were limited.Room was large eind high ceiling small french balcony to the stereet. very quiet qarter (but it was Winter) O) The best street market is yjust around the corner. Room was very good and all ameniets were provided what you expect from a 4* hotel. The peronal atmosphere from everyone is great! Breakfast was served in the same salons wher Da Carlo serves one of the finest food in Palermo. See my ebntry on the Restaurant section. Breakfast was served (in Winter) from a small list, but we missed nothing. An the breakfast service was one of the best we ever had in Italy. The lady was so charming and natural friendly - this is true hospitality we very much apreciate. The quality of all eggs, fruits (we got fresh cactus) figolini (?) we never tasted before, and cold cuts from very good quality as well as the rest. The two homemade tartelets were superb.
Some would think the area is not so chic, but this is Palermo and it is better then glass and steel you find every whrer. The Palazzo is rnovated and you see, there are peopkle who care, and the guest apreciate this well.

This is supposedly a 4 star hotel and the decor and rooms may warrant this rating however several of the staff seemed unhelpful and disinterested. For example we returned to thé hotel around 4:00 and asked for a cup of tea. It seemed like it was too much to ask and when it came it was barely tepid. The bartender looked like he had just appeared from the local garage after work. The waiter was excellent and the meal was good. On our final night there was an ‘event’ and despite being on the top floor the music was deafening until 1:00.

Dear Robyn, we're sorry that you feel disinterest on the behaviour of our staff. We're used to take care of our guests and so we're really sorry about it. Our bar open at 6pm so when you ask something to the bartender at 4pm he was not still working but, as you said, he was cleaning and was so kind to served you insted of said "it's closed". Our hotel is yes a 4 stars but it's also a little bit like home where everyone is available and tries to do everything to pamper our guests. Finally, about the event we're sorry that you hear music, usually no one complains about this. We'll check this issue in order to solve it and not bored other guest in other times. Best regards Adriana

Good afternoon. What is the average cost of a taxi from the airport to the hotel? Many thanks, Kevin Fields

The whole point of asking such questions on TA is that others may also find the information useful. Contacting the hotel directly doesn't achieve that. Found the answer elsewhere - it's about 45 euros.

Dear Chiara T, we have a private garage (the next door to the main entrance) and it's cost is € 10 per day. As an alternative we're in front of a pubblic square where usually is quite easy to find a place for the car. Best regards Adriana
