A beautiful guest house right in the heart of Old Palermo. Clean, comfortable, and full of charm and character. Manlio was an excellent host. Very warm and welcoming. He gave us lots of helpful tips about places to visit, eat and drink. Prepared a delicious breakfast for us every day. Would definitely stay there again when visiting Palermo in future.
Excellent location in a quiet street in the middle of the historic center of Palermo. Close to the train station and also to the main streets. Nice room and breakfast in a beautiful old palazzo. The accommodation is simple but charming.
Great location and Manlio is an excellent host. We had a large room with windows that opened to an interior balcony- providing light and natural air. The B&B is on the top floor (3) and access is only by lots of stairs. The street entry is well lit, and on a convenient side street between two main roads. We felt safe walking at all hours. Manlio offered sightseeing and eating recommendations, and made a dinner reservation for us one night. Breakfast was ample and the fresh fruit was most appreciated. English spoken.
Homely, pleasant B&B in an old palazzo which is gradually being refurbished. Nice room and comfortable bed. We had the double room with separate very large and well-appointed bathroom (you have to walk through the sitting room/office to get to it, but that wasn't a problem for us. Manlio, the owner was very friendly and helpful. He came in early to prepare breakfast for us as we had a flight to catch. We would certainly stay there again.
Great location, stunning decor, delicious breakfast, super clean and incredibly welcoming! Manlio went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and have the best experience Sicily has to offer. We stayed for four nights and have nothing to fault. Thank you soooo much Manlio…. You’re a star!
Made our trip with the family in Palermo much more enjoyable. Very clean, super location, great fresh breakfast. Manlio, the host, is super super friendly. Gave us the best hints for Palermo. Even helped us book a lot of activities online. ❤️
Wonderful stay in Palermo at La Via Delle Biciclette for the second time. The rooms and the location are perfect, and the hosts could not be more helpful. No need for a guidebook -- every recommendation for restaurants/museums/churches/etc. was excellent. Already planning the next trip to Palermo -- and no doubt we had a fabulous time largely due to how perfect our stay was in this lovely B&B. We really do miss having our morning coffee with Manlio ! We felt like more than guests -- we felt like family.
We stayed here two nights and will stay again if we go back. When we first arrived, the owner gave us an orientation of the city, good restaurants nearby, tours and other events happening during our stay. The room was huge and nice. We had an early flight and needed to leave at 4AM and he drove us to the airport (for a small fee, comparable to what we would have paid for the bus, but knowing he was coming at such an early hour gave us peace of mind).
This is a terrific B&B in the middle of a residential street. The area is lively, varied and colourful, with a real sense of energy. You live in the home of Manlio and Manuela and are treated as a guest. A very comfortable room with a birds eye view over this part of Palermo from the balcony. Breakfast gets you going. And Manlio and Manuela are full of information on places to visit in the city - especially restaurants. Do ask about the nearby piazza which has three different world heritage churches. Stunning.
This was our second stay at La Via Delle Biciclette and, if anything the standards of service have improved over the past two years. Both Manlio and Manuela are busy preparing for their second B&B, but they take the time to make their guests feel at home. We love the mix of languages and laughter around the breakfast table in this gem of a B&B.
