Our first time in Palermo, we made our way through the narrow dilapidated streets and the bustling Ballaro market and were amazed when we entered the b&b to a very open, modern foyer/lounge/office area.....very swish. The staff were welcoming and spent time explaining the locale and the map provided was to be indispensible ......still managed to get lost around the...

Don't spend more than a couple of days in the city it is hard work.A day out on the train to Cefalu on the coast was excellent.Scilly is not a very sophisticated destination beware. Not sure we would go back.

The B&B was perfect for our stay in Palermo. The room we had (giardino) was a larger bedroom that faced the garden. It was quiet and clean. The kids had a smaller room to the side, a bit smaller and it did have a slight smell (humidity?). The breakfast was adequate and they had a person there always asking if...

This hotel is in the old Central area of busy noisy streets and colourful markets and dogs barking through the night. It is also within walking distance of the main city attractions. The front door is just inches from the street but entry reveals an oasis of calm carved out of an old bakery, and a great renovated reception area...

We chose Il Giardino as our first stop in our tour of Sicily and ... what a good choice! Ludovica and Aurora are doing an excellent job at making you feel good right upon your arrival and all along your stay through good visits picks and restaurants guidance. In the meantime the place is quiet in the rather agitated town...

We spent 2 nights at Il Giardino di Ballaro and we were warmly received and given the best attention throughout our stay. The B&B itself is a gem, a beautifully refurbished historical building, with arches from 500 AD, decorated tastefully and run by a kind Sicilian family. The location is perfect for exploring the old Palermo on foot, a few...

Very nicely refurbished historic house with lots of modern elements. The staff and owner were extremely welcoming and helpful, giving very helpful advice for places to dine out and party on just that very night. The location is very central: Both old town, shopping streets, the opera house and railway station are in walking distance. Yet the neighborhood is gloomy...

I couldn't resist the title to this review, but do not be alarmed. Almost in the middle of the Ballarò market district, hugely colourful and multi-ethnic, this exquisite B&B is heavenly. Owned and run by a team of young ladies, everything is touched by a little magic. A tasteful blend of contemporary style and vintage pieces (some from the antique...

We booked this place on a last minute trip to Palermo, and it was a surprise. Il giardino di ballaró is a boutique hotel very close to the lively mercato di ballaró and a few minutes to the cathedral. The hotel has been renovated with taste (lots of artistic details and original features) it enjoys a beautiful garden inside the...
