I would like to be able to give the hotel 3.5 stars. The location is very convenient for seeing the sights in Palermo: the hotel sits directly opposite the opera house and on a street closed to pedestrians. It's a bit of a challenge if you're driving, but the staff were very helpful in getting our luggage into the hotel...

Our large comfortable room was at the back of the hotel and very quiet. Excellent central location and friendly helpful staff. The breakfast in our room was lovely despite the limitations of having to select the night before. The hotel is in a walking street but the taxi dropped us only a few doors away.

We recently spent four nights at the Massimo Plaza Hotel. It was excellently located in a pedestrian area. It was also well situated for exploring the city. It was, in our experience, very quiet even though we had a front room. The room itself was large, as was the bathroom. Air conditioning and wi fi were good. The hotel staff...

This very pleasant hotel is sited in a pedestrian area between 10am and 8pm. The hotel sent us very explicit instructions on how to drive into the area between these hours and drop off our luggage. Luggage duly deposited in the reception area, we had to find a parking spot to locate our car until the bellboy,” Peter Two “,...

Arrived at this hotel after a 5 hour train trip from Taormina and a walk from the train station. Was met by a lady that told us that your entire hotel was shut down due to a problem with the water supply in the hotel. We did not get the room we had booked. Instead we where transferred to a...

We are deeply offended by the falsity of the review and saddened by the malice with which some people write about the hotels, not knowing to make unquantifiable damage and in this case it deserved. The falsity of the review is that it has never been told the customer that the hotel was closed, but only that, for momentary failure...

Staff are very good, young and charming at this pleasant rather old fadhioned hotel right opposite the beautiful Teatro Massimo. The street becomes a pedestrian walkway from 10 am to approx 7 or 8 pm which is convenient, but it can be crowded and noisy. However the balcony doors, when closed, offer good soundproofing. Breakfast is simple and the area...

Being right smack across from the Teatro Massimo on Via Maqueda is certainly a plus. The street life is wild, including a real live drag race at 9 PM! But the downside is that because the street is closed to traffic, getting your car to the door is a challenge, means a bit of fast talking with the police in...

Not a bad place but could be better. Positives were the staff were lovely and very helpful. It was a good size room with a nice balcony. Negatives are the Hotel is on a plaza so it gets very noisy. Our room was 110 and there were so many noises/banging sounds that started from 7am and woke us up every...

Small comfortable hotel near many wonderful local trattorias and restaurants. Good breakfast included with our room but limited choice of salty or sweet selection. Street can be noisy on weekend but we did not have a problem with much noise. Very helpful front desk. Room comfortable but very small bathroom
