This elegant, family-run hotel is steeped in history and character and boasts a fortunate position in the historic centre of Palermo, just 300 metres from Teatro Massimo. Hotel Posta was once a noble residence and is definitely one of the most historic hotels in Palermo. It has been run with love and care by the same family since 1921. They are always on hand to assist in any way they can and can book excursions, tours, and theatre tickets. You can relax in the lounge with its well-stocked library and enjoy a cocktail in the cosy bar, open 24 hours. In warm weather, why not relax on the sun terrace or take a stroll down to the private beach? Each guest room comes with air conditioning and Satellite TV. Hotel Posta features a private car park and 2 meeting rooms.

Pros: The gentleman who checked us in was extremely friendly and helpful. The lobby was attractive and the breakfast and breakfast room were nice. Hotel wa a short walk from nearly everything - very convenient.

Cons: Several websites we consulted advertised that this hotel had 24 hr. room service. But the man who checked us in said there was no room service. We checked out early because room service is something important to my wife, who is disabled. The man who checked us out got angry with us and argued that they can bring coffee or even breakfast up to our room if we had asked, and that qualified as room service. He threatened to bill our credit card since we elected not to pay for our second night. It was kind of a downer. The room had no coffee maker or water heater and was otherwise fairly bare-bones. We also mentioned that there was quite a bit of noise in our room and the guy got angry and said no one had every complained about noise there.

The room was super comfortable and really big. A lot of space to put luggage. The location is amazing, only 2 blocks away from Massimo Theatre. The staff more importantly was super kind and friendly, they really made our stay a special one by giving tips and making the hotel atmosphere very cozy and fun. You immediately feel at home and whatever you need you can always ask and they will try to help you.

The staff at this hotel are excellent. The front desk was welcoming and gave us good suggestions of how to visit Palermo. The location is in the historic center and you can walk to everything. So many restaurants to choose from! Our room was an interior one with very little natural light - suggest trying to get an exterior room. Bed was comfortable and pillows were not flat like at other hotels. Large bathroom with small shower and low water pressure. Air con and wifi worked great. English channels on TV. The room was generally quiet - no street noise but we did hear our neighbours sometimes. Breakfast is served to you at your table. The service is very friendly and attentive. There are croissants and buns and a fruit plate on the table and they bring you a plate of meat and cheese. Excellent cappucinos! Note we walked to the hotel from the train station - it would have been easier to take city bus 101 or 102 instead.

Hotel Posta is a quaint hotel in a central location in Palermo which provides easy access between port and main part of town.
The staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Highly recommend for a few days.

This was a basic 3 star stay in Palermo, based one street back from the main road. While I had no problems at all, the overall area walking towards the hotel was busy, noisy, and dirty which didn't give the best first impression. My room was large and clean and had everything I needed, and the location was fairly central - just short walks to the historical centre, tourist sights, Palermo train station, and the water front. The staff at this hotel were very nice and helpful - the airconditioning unit had a bad leak and when I reported it, it was fixed incredibly fast. Lovely breakfast provided and a small and pleasant rooftop terrace area.

Last minute decision to go away for The New Year. Hotel Posta was the perfect choice as we were we felt safe from all the Pandemic worries. Hotel Posta is a family owned and run hotel where you get personal, professional attention with a smile. The hotel was spotlessly clean and we had a lovely, spacious room. Very good breakfast with a great choice of Sicilian pastries, very good Cappuccino!! We were given precise, detailed advice on where to eat, shop and visit historical attractions. So central! The hotel is in the heart of all the main attractions! Literally a few minutes walk to any place we decided to visit! Will definitely return!

The bedroom was tired and dated. Bathroom sink was badly cracked and unhygienic and toilet seat was broken and moved every time I sat on it! The shower cubicle was tiny and needed renovating. We arrived at 10am and were made to wait until 2pm to check in but when we finally did, the room was still dusty and mirrors and glass shelves were dirty. Juliet balcony was nice and it was great to be in the city with a view of roof tops. However, I did ask to move room and was promised this but on the allocated day it never happened and I was disappointed. Yes, the staff are friendly but ineffectual. It is very old fashioned and not a boutique hotel. Would never return.

First time in Sicily for us. We arrived at 1 in the morning. The flight was 3 hours late. Got a great welcome. Looked after us and made us feel very welcome after a long day. Great location in the heart of the city. The rooms were excellent. Clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good and the staff help you get the day off to a good start. When we return to Sicily we will stay here again. Brilliant value. Close to everything. The staff organised transport for us to and from the airport and the drivers were also very pleasant and helpful. You'll have a great time here.

Staying at Hotel Posta was like stepping into the heart of Sicily. Off a main road and into a winding back street, this quaint building disguised between the stone walls was a delight, with the friendly staff, great breakfast and roof top terrace overlooking the city and the mountains in the distance. We enjoyed our stay so very much. Local food a stone's throw away and lots of places to have Palermo specialities during the day.

We spent one night in the hotel as part of a school group. The staff was exceedingly helpful and kind. The room was clean and the bedding (including pillows) very comfortable. We had the best cappuccino of the trip in this hotel. They set up a little separate breakfast area for the chaperones and brought us a lovely selection. The problem was that our students were in the larger breakfast room and were not offered yogurt, cereal or the meat and cheese plate. They did not know what to expect, so they did not ask. If we knew, we would have intervened. They were just offered pastries. If not for that, I would have given the hotel 5 stars.

Dear, thank you for choosing our hotel and enjoying your stay, as well as the service and breakfast. We are sorry that some member of your group has reported not having received the complete breakfast, we are sure that we have asked everyone, and even several times, if they would have liked further additions. We do it with all our guests, so we are a little amazed and also sorry for what happened. However, we look forward to having you again among our best customers.
