I visited this hotel as a single female visiting friends. It's a very central hotel and great for exploring the lovely city of Palermo. Very easy check in and a great price. My room was small but had everything you needed hairdryer in room no tea and coffee but air conditioning was amazing and needed. The rooftop terrace was lovely I did not have breakfast but staff were all lovely and was a very pleasant stay and very safe. Amazing pizza restaurant just across the road

Not a bad little place. Spotlessly clean and our room was attended every day. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The only criticism I can think of is the breakfast. Lots of sweet pastry, cereals and yogurt but there could be more fresh fruit. That said, we were happy with our stay and would recommend it for a short break.

Fantastic location, clean and very friendly staff (including Danilo for a good expresso cup in the morning). Didn't get lucky with the bedroom in the very last floor (extremely hot, no wifi conection). Beatiful painting on ceilings.

We travelled to Palermo for a 6-night birthday trip & hotel Joli was a great base for our city break. The location is great, not right in the hustle & bustle but easily walkable to all main areas in Palermo. The balcony overlooking the piazza is a beautiful touch, however some chairs to sit on would have been nice. It was nice to experience Sicily’s traditional hotel decor & despite other reviews, we were expecting the interior that we got and it was nice to have a change from the modern hotels found all over the world nowadays. There were only a few downfalls, hence the 4 instead of 5 stars, which include having no water supplied in the room, a seriously worn mattress, which did lead to a few uncomfortable nights & lastly the shower in the bathroom is very small, however for a short city break this can be overlooked. All in all, the hotel was perfect for what we needed & kept very clean too. We would recommend for solo and couple travellers alike

I am the prime candidate to write a review of this hotel as I've been happily ensconced for more than two months and am delighted to be here. The Joli's decor reflects Old World charm with paintings and murals and high ceilings. You realize immediately that this was once a private house. The staff are polite, helpful, kind, ana good-humored. They appear to be constantly available. Breakfast is actually too good and I've had to cut back on the pastries. The location is right in the center of this amazing city and it's easy to walk anywhere from the front door. I could not be more satisfied with this lovely, romantic hotel.

The location was superb, very central. The rooms were spacious and old fashioned. A little tired but nit knocked out of the park yet. Basic accommodation and clean. Our room had small balcony overlooking a small garden.

Fantastic staff, air condition in room, sweet breakfast ( there also could be some eggs, maybe more fruit and vegetables), amazing location - very friendly people and safe neighborhood. Rooms are very clean, you have place to rest and take some time for yourself.

This is well placed for the centre and links to the airport bus, and the station is walkable The building is very attractive with liberty era art throughout. And staff are friendly However our room wasnt great, feeling like one squeezed in. It was quite small with a weirdly high ceiling. The tiny bathroom was an after thought. Breakfast too was well below par with limited choices, and no restocking It's not a surprise to see signs for awards from 2013 and none since. I wonder if they think its a gallery with rooms

Response from Hotel J, Direttore at Hotel Joli
Responded 12 Jan 2020
Pietro Silano Direttore

We spent our last night in Sicilia at this small lovely hotel with very good price. It was a perfect choice: close to the main interest places in Palermo city in a good neighborhood: market and restaurant quite besides. There is a parking lot for 18 Euros (it was written 15 Euros at Expedia but the Receptionist in the morning said it was an old price), anyway it worthed a lot since you let your car safe, a driver comes to pick it up (check in) and wherever you want (Its 24 hours paid, if you cone 5 pm and even the check out is 11 am you can get your car at 5 pm). We tried to drive to some sightseeings and after 40 minutes without a place to park the car we got back to the hotel to leave our car again at this parking (without pay it again, so we got the car till 5 pm). And we could WALK to all sightseeings 👌 ABOUT the hotel: Small room (Standard) with VERY good air conditioner (very important!), good bed, nice shower and a refrigerator BUT the best thing was MARIELLA at RECEPTION: The most simpatic italian person we have seen on these 8 months traveling all round Italy 🥰 She is a very good professional, gives all attention and directions, i saw her talking in english to a small group of chinese i think and now before we left (we left our cooler on electricity till we came to the Porto to get our Traghetto to Genova) we saw a BIG group of Korean women who barely spoke english and she had all patience (SO difficult issue for italians 😂) and also made mimics to help on comunicazione 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. She was alone, if not i am sure she could help these ladies with their luggage. We LOVED the breakfast, liked also this staff (all them very kind, the barista girl) and the cleaning staff. Surely we recommend this hotel !!!
