In the capital of island, among Baroque churches and markets of Islamic memory, there is the Hotel del Centro with all mod cons. The Hotel del Centro has opened recently and it is situated in the old town centre of Palermo very close to the most important monuments, such as The Cathedral, The Massimo Theatre, The Vucciria Market and so on; moreover it is only 100 metres away from the Central Station of Palermo, in the neighbourhood of which there are the arrivals and departures of the buses for the airport and the whole Sicily. You can easily get to the Hotel del Centro from the Port of Palermo, which is about 1 Km away from the hotel. Staying at the Hotel del Centro, you will be able to walk through Palermo and you will enjoy the atmosphere and the folklore of the popular markets of the city. The Hotel del Centro, which is in a suggestive period building, is very comfortable. There are rooms with bath, shower, phone, TV, air conditioning, windows no-noise, hairdryer, Wireless Internet Access and skilled workers at your complete disposal.
Good accommodations and very helpful and friendly staff. This hotel is in a very good location. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is available for 5 euros. buses and trains are near by. getting to the hotel from the airport is very easy, just take the train to Central station and the hotel is a 5 minutes walk. the building is locked and the only way to get in after 20:00 is to make a call to open the front door.

If I could sum it up - not what we were expecting. Arrived late and was hard to find the entrance - we drove. That was a mistake as parking (even late at night) was impossible. Room was small, dated and basic but spotlessly clean, reception was 24/7 and really helpful and location was great. Once we got our bearings it was east to navigate to the entrance and work out how to get to the reception. The building g is shared with other hotels / businesses and as others mentioned there in an antique lift to get you to the 3rd floor. Breakfast was interesting. Very very small eating area so be prepared to make friends !!! All in all the hotel did what it needed to do for us but as I say at the beginning just not what we expected.

Our family hotel stayed for three nights. The hotel is conveniently located and makes exploring Palermo on foot very easy. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. - nothing was too much trouble and they arranged taxis, made restaurant recommendations etc. Many thanks

I stayed at this hotel for three nights in May 2022. The hotel has a great location, close to the Railroad Station, Great Restaurants and Historic sites. The room was adequate but did not have a desk or refrigerator (I missed that upon booking). Great shower pressure and bathroom in general. The Staff made the experience worth this stay, from the front desk to the staff attending the breakfast room. The free breakfast is limited with mostly pastries and breads but they did have meats and cheeses. Overall I would stay here again, if my regular hotel in Palermo keeps their prices too high.

The hotel is centrally located, only few minutes walk from the railway station and even closer to the main pedestrian street and its most important monuments. The staff at the reception desk and specially in the breakfast room is welcoming, friendly and very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

As French Canadians, we used twice their hotel chosen with the help of the Routard. We have been very happy with our choice. With 5 weeks of traveling in Sicilia this fall, we used more than 13 installations, guest rooms and B and B, so we can compair. Excellent breakfast with more variety than most others, good room, very good location ( about 5-10 minutes from the train and bus station and pedestrian street giving access to many touristic attractions), and a fantastic staff. They speak a better English or French than most locations used. The price paid was competitive with others. As Alitalia lost our luggage, they have been very comprehensive to get us a second and third night, made phone calls in Italian to help us to find our luggage, and may other advices for our 2 stays in Palermo. We recommend them to anybody.…

There was a problem with my reservation that the hotel refused to fix. Avoid it. I have never found a hotel to be so rude and unwilling to help with a reservation. Unfriendly, unwilling to find a solution. Very strange for Sicily where people tend to be very welcoming and flexible. I would certainly avoid it.

Response from PalazzoloP, Direttore at Hotel del Centro
Responded 24 Jun 2019
Dear Madam Victoria Without knowing the name of the reservation, I am unable to answer you. I'm very sorry that you found us unflexible. I assure you that we always try to support the customer. I wonder if you really stayed in my hotel. From what you write it would seem not. Isn't that, by chance, you had a non-refundable prepaid reservation and you wanted us to reimburse you? the general manager Giuseppe Palazzolo

I stayed here as part of an organised tour. The hotel is on a central floor of an old building, and is accessed by a lovely old lift, or a few flights of stairs. The reception is constantly attended, and the rooms are large and airy. Breakfast is good, the usual continental style of cheese, hams and, as we were in Palermo, lots of mini-canola, which were delicious! Step outside of the hotel and you are straight into the streets of old Palermo!

Are there any historical sites close to Hotel del Centro?
Many travellers enjoy visiting Palazzo Drago Airoldi di Santa Colomba (0.6 km), Oratorio di Santa Cita (0.9 km), and Palazzo Steri - Chiaramonte - Carcere dei penitenziati (0.7 km).
