Had four days in this great city and thought the Mecure was well positioned for access to all the main sites of interest! We had two rooms in the Anex just around the corner from main hotel which were very good spacious and clean! Breakfast was very good with Anna excellent serving the coffee! One complaint no Glasses in the rooms ! Just poor thin paper cups ! When I asked at the bar for two glasses one with some ice in and one for taking medication I was refused by the barman Andria ? Who was quite rude!!! I have never been in Hotel where there are no glasses and no cups for hot drinks just poor small thin paper cups ! Apart from this small problem, well worth booking

We did a Sicily Trip with the Italian American Club of Hollywood Fl. Some of us wanted to spend a night in Palermo before the trip started. We booked the Mercure Hotel and so glad we did. The rooms were modern, clean and big. The staff was exceptionally nice. Anna at the desk couldn’t be nicer as well as the entire staff. I highly recommend the Mercure when visiting Palermo. This was our first visit to Palermo, and we were anxious about security and a restful night’s sleep. The Mercure Palermo was an ideal choice. Our three rooms were in the recently opened extension. Each room was spacious, peaceful and relaxing. The daily breakfast was varied and generous. After initial difficulties with the air conditioning, Martina quickly resolved the issue. The hotel is within easy walking distance to a number of excellent restaurants and local shops. More serious shopping is only a five minute walk away. Thank you for a most relaxing stay.

We stayed at that this hotel for two nights. Breakfast was excellent, staff very good and very courteous, shower was excellent, bathroom and bedroom arrangements very good. Special thanks to Filippo, one of the front desk/reception desk who went above and beyond his duty to help me out with a technical issue that I had with my phone. Very grateful for his help !!!

Travelling on a ten day holiday with Titan Travel with guide Denise and driver Claudio we had a two night stay at the Mercure Palermo, being a solo traveler the room is very important, I had a lovely room with a balcony was clean and comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities, tv, hairdryer, lovely bathroom, we didn’t have a meal at the hotel on arrival in the evening we had a short walk to Osteria Sciapo Restaurant were we had a delicious meal served to us the staff were friendly and helpful excellent service, on our second nights stay I booked a table at the Mercure restaurant as did other travellers in our group the food and the service was excellent, breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choices. During our stay we visited Enna, Cefalu, Montreal, and had a walking tour of Palermo. On departure from the hotel I paid my hotel room tax at reception the staff were friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend this hotel good central location for getting around Palermo, I enjoyed my stay.…

Above-average Mercure, in good and relatively quiet area of Palermo. Good-sized modern room, huge terrace, clean and well maintained, plenty of recharging points for appliances, good bathroom with modern and powerful shower. Reception staff outstanding. Pity about the carpet rather than hard flooring, but it's a question of taste.

We choose the apartment in the second building, at 50 meters from the main one and it was a good decision. Big, spacious room, nice and clean bathroom in a building on a main street, with bus station at 10 m. Excellent location in town. Strongly recommended.

The pros : convenient location near many restaurants and touristic points of interest. The cons : overall poor service. Our booking issued by Accor website clearly indicated check in at 12pm, but when arriving at the hotel we were informed that Check-in was at 14h00. We were allocated a room in a different building , in dire need of renovation. Despite being comfortable, the room was noisy both during day and night because of works on the road and traffic during the night. When asking for a late checkout, we were told first it was impossible due to hotel occupancy, but then that this could be arranged for a fee... So clearly the hotel occupancy wasn't the main reason, more the need to drive more revenues

Overall the hotel is nicely located, well managed, clean. Unfortunately the whole experience was ruined by the awful lack of soundproof protection in the rooms. The noise coming in from the elevators operating, toilet water flushing from other rooms, etc was unbearable. Even when using ear caps, we still couldn’t fall asleep due to the contant noises. Avoid if possible.
