I stayed in this hotel with Rick Steve tour for Two night. The hotel bathroom is so small that even one person can not take a shower with closed shower door, the drainage in the shower was not working so it would get clog, the towels are horrible like sand paper. I requested to change the room and they were insisting it is our standard room, finally after lots of argument since I was with Rick Steve tour , they accepted to change my room the next night, the first night after long flight that was my experience. 2nd night , my husband lost the room key during visiting the church and we find out when we arrived to hotel, the receptionist insisting that we go back to the church that we did with Rick Steve group which was 1 1/2 hour drive and find the key, I was keep saying we can not go back, after arguing for 10 minutes she gave the key , returning back from dinner she still insisting to find the key, finally she wanted to charge us 10 Euro for lost key. In general, I am not recommending this hotel to any one, the staff also are not as polite as other hotels in different part of Italy like Rome, Florence, and in general Tuscany area. Breakfast is also very average, breakfast is not close to any quality of other hotels with same category in different cities of Italy…
We stayed for one night in September 22. The hotel is directly on the Main Street of Palermo near the bus and train station. It’s an older hotel and many of the facilities are dated. The lift is a museum piece. Our room was small and the bathroom was very cramped. The furniture in the room was showing lots of wear and tear. The room and bedding and towels were clean. The shower was very low pressure and temperature was hard to control. Couldn’t get the tv to work. No view from the room but very quiet. The best part of this hotel is the rooftop terrace that has a stunning view over Palermo and the hills and we watched a fantastic thunderstorm at dusk with some pricey G&T in our hands. Breakfast in the morning was a good selection of pastries with juice and coffee. We were early so the hot options had not arrived.…
We were there on a Rick Steves tour. It was convenient to the train station, grocery store and the bars and restaurants in the historic part of the city. The roof lounge had a wonderful view worthy of great photos
Stayed at the Hotel Ambasciatori, located on the main North/Sourth street, Via Roma. The 2 twin bed room was clean, the mattress firm, and an extra blanket available. The bath had a shower and bidet (a quick YouTube video later we knew how to use the bidet). The morning breakfast on the 7th floor terrace was good and the views of the city superb. One evening we dined at the hotel eatery, 7, which utilizes the terrace space during the evening. The food hit the mark (bread, soup, pasta and dessert of fresh fruit & brioche). If I'd realized that it was a straight shot walk to and from the train station, I would have taken the train from the airport and saved myself the taxi fee.
Did not stay in this hotel but the view from the roof terrace bar area is just stunning. Great choice of unusual cocktails to while away a couple of hours enjoying the domes and mountain tops of Palermo.
Stayed a week. The airport bus stops very nearby on Via Roma. It is an old building, which was part of its charm for us, with a beautifully mainteined and polished 1940's(?) elevator. Large, high-ceilinged rooms. Decor was good and well-maintained, although of source a building of this generation will never - and should never - be as slick as a modern build. Bathroom and air-con spacious and fucntional. Central Paelermo, so forget about good room views; but the roof terrace/restauarnt/bar more than makes up for this, with 360 degree views. Service was warm and attentive. Breakfast was the only weakness: it was continental with scrabled/boiled eggs. This is fine, but it would have made all the difference to provide higher-quality bread, ham and cheese. Coffee, as usual in Palermo, superb. The terrace changes to a fine-dining restaurant in the evening: excellent food, but not cheap. Palermians (?) eat late, so it gets crowded from about 9.00pm; but tables readily available earlier. Shoulder season plus COVID, so not packed, but enough clientele to feel comfortable. Lobby is small, so if you want to hang out in the hotel its a choice of your room or the roof terrace (which has an indoor area in inclement weather.…
We came to the restaurant, this place is amazing! We loved the rooftop, the food and especially loved the service, ask for Giorgio, il migliori!! He will read your mind and choose the best wine for you !
Rooms were good. Reception was useful. Parking was outside hotel at the back. It was not free, we paid 15euros. Walked everywhere. 5 minutes to Vucceria and Quattrocsnti. Rooms are nicely decorated, Shower small. We were in 5th Floor
I was suprised how this hotel can have 4 stars. I believe there should be minmum standards. The room and toilet was soo old. In the shower and on the wall tehre was mold everywhere on the tiles. Towels need to be renewd (they were gray intead of white). The TV on the wall was literally 30x30cm... This hotel definitely needs stars reavaluation and renovation! The only positive point is its central location and very close to the main train station.
The view from the bar on the top floor took our breaths away if was so beautiful. Please go to this bar... lovely cocktails and bar but it is all about the view which truly is magnificent.... the restaurant is open from 8 pm. We only had cocktails but the food looked good
