This is an excellent hotel with an extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. Any request or problem Ignazio, the Direttore, took care of it immediately. He was very patient with questions, gave very detailed and accurate directions and was always a smiling face when we came in. His associate, Magdalena was equally helpful. Spotless rooms, good WiFi, secure, fenced on site parking and great breakfast with large selection. Overall this is a super hotel. Little out of main tourist area but good restaurants in the same block and upscale shopping (Hermes, Gucci etc) about 4 blocks away. Close to the port if you’re doing the ferry.

Great boutique hotel with outstanding staff.
Beds were a little hard but we still slept great.
Nice location to walk or catch bus.
Down the street from some great restaurants.
They offer a very good breakfast.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

A true find in a chaotic yet exiting city! After a day of sightseeing this hotel is just what you need: clean, comfortable, quiet. Loved the personnel too: attentive and helpful. What about the location? Close to the luxurious shopping district, the centro storico and food markets. In one word: perfect.
Another plus: you can park your car here for free. Go, go, go. You won't be disappointed.

Found hotel on the web and, impressed by numerous positive reviews, reserved for a Jun 2013, trip. Followed Niccolo's instructions to take Prestia e Commande bus in from airport to Piazza Crocci (recall cost as 6.20 E) and then walking about 5 min to hotel. Was not warned, however, that even numbers (on south) are not opposite corresponding odd numbers (on north), and became concerned when encountered 35 on the north blocks before reaching 36 for Ucciardhome. Room was not ready, so were treated to espressos for about 10 min while cleaning completed in a suite (to which we were upgraded), still for 105 E per night including breakfast for 2..Suite (104) was on ground floor facing garden in back and included separate shower and bath (Jacuzzi) as well as being very comfortable and roomy. Bar for hangers a bit high for my wife to negotiate. Wonderful breakfasts including boiled eggs, various hams and cheese, breads, yogurts, cakes, etc, etc. The hotel is NOT in the center of town (and is therefore very quiet). About a 20 min walk into center, and several buses take you into town for 1.30 E. Incidentally, weather in early June was delightful: clear blue skies, warm-to-hot but with a continuous cooling breeze. All in all a wonderful experience.

Pros:
- Location: (Walking) Ignazio Mormino Museum of Art and Archaeology (14mins), Arsenale di Palermo (15mins), Palazzo De Gregorio (15mins).
- Bathroom amenities: Liquid hand soap, body wash, shower gel, shower cap, vanity kit, shoe sponge, sewing kit, tissues, average quality hairdryer.
- As many have previously mentioned, the highlight of this hotel is the incredible staff! Service at its best! The staff here is better than most 5 star hotels.
- Free in-room WiFi (but see ‘Cons’).
- Large, spacious room.

Cons:
- WiFi speed is incredibly slow (and most of the time, it didn’t work at all). Average in-room speed of only 0.4Mbps and parts of the room with zero coverage.
- A deeper cleanliness could be better. The telephone and the toilet button actually looked dirty when you pushed it in.
- Limited storage space. While the room was large, there was almost no space for storage.
- Air conditioner did not function, thus the room was incredibly hot during the night and opening the window let in too much noise, making sleep difficult.
- The room was more 3 stars than 4 stars. TV extremely small, very hard mattress, limited breakfast (no fresh milk), room needs major maintenance.

The biggest plus to this hotel is the friendliness of the staff. Everyone we encountered here was very accommodating and kind.

HOWEVER, the room itself was NOT what I'd consider four stars. For someone who is very easy to please, I must say, the bed was the hardest my husband and I have ever slept on--- which is terrible because he has slept on cots in Iraq and Afghanistan during deployments that were more comfortable than this hotel's bed.

My second complaint is this: if you are a traveler who looks forward to a free, delicious breakfast at your hotel, you will be very disappointed here. Besides the local Sicilian pastries (which were DELICIOUS), the options are scarce. Hardboiled eggs (you have to boil yourself), canned fruit and yogurt and a slim selection of meat and cheese that sits out for three hours. It was not at all what we expected. Probably the worst breakfast I've had in a hotel.

With all of that said, we did only pay $80/night to stay here. So if you're looking to save money and you don't care about a brick bed or a poor breakfast, this is your place.

We stayed 2 nights. To took us at least 20 mins to get to the centre: it is 4 star but doesn't seem like it: we had a dusty, dirty A/C unit, literally black inside, dusty net curtains and a very hard bed. It was expensive for what we got. On the plus side a nice breakfast and pleasant staff.

This hotel should not be advertised on ony holiday website for holiday l travellers We were shown 3 rooms when we arrived and one was worse than the other, nothing like the photos we saw on the holiday webiste we booked on , shabby , dirty , smelling of mould ,and ciggarettes , towels were thread bare and sticky , we took the last room as its was late and told them we would move the next day , we didnt use the bed as it was covered in stains and then we noticed that the bathroom had a full 2 way mirror/ window looking on to the bed ???, so we sat on the couch all night in our clothes ,When we went to check out in the morning the male receptionist demanded cash for 265 euros the rate for the night was 112 euros but we had to pay for 2 nights plus the 4 nights city tax ??, they said we could not leave till we paid the full amount in cash or there would be a problem , ...my husband ran to the nearest cash machine as I was not allowed or to even go out side for air I was basically a hostage until we gave them cash , we paid and left ,,,never go to this hotel . we booked back into our original hotel and they said that this hotel has un savoury reputation ..the area is also very un safe ,,,terrible experiemce ,ruined our holiday

We stayed one night at this hotel but the level of customer service we received was outstanding. I especially want to thank Rosie from the front desk. She helped up with a complicated matter going above and beyond to ensure our issue was resolved. This level of service is hard to find.

from airporto to hotelthere is a public bus service: the company name is PRESTIA E COMANDE, you can find a bus every 30 minutes in the airport at € 7,00 per person. The bus stop close to the hotel is in Piazza Croci, and yuo can reach us in 5 minutes walk.
