Alma hotel is excellently placed to visit all parts of Palermo on foot or by public transport. It's smart, modern, clean and with a large, mostly young, friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is very good and varied. The bedroom we had was spacious and comfortable with an excellent bathroom. It's well insulated for light and from the inevitable noise from a busy city outside. The only minor thing we didn't like was the television on a music channel during breakfast; who watches it, is it necessary? We would go there again.

If you visit Palermo, the Alma Hotel is a great location for walking to the must see parts of the city. Palermo can be a bit daunting but all the staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed was lovely and comfortable, with memory foam pillows and mattress. The mini-bar was free, with fresh supplies of bottled water and soft drinks. A good breakfast is provided to start the day, especially enjoy the artisanal pastries. A special shout out to Michele and Francisco on reception, who were so friendly and welcoming, asking how your day had been and what you had seen. You knew you could ask any staff member for help or advice and they would be more than happy to assist.The airport transfer arranged by the hotel was also first class, pleasant and reliable drivers. If you visit Palermo, the Alma Hotel is a great place to stay. Externally, you would not be aware that its a hotel given the building structure but completely different once you step inside!

The worst hotel that I have been to. Checked in around 3pm on Jan 3 '25 with my family and checked out by 6pm on the same day. Had made reservation for two rooms for 3 nights stay. Rooms were smelly, pillow covers were smelly and mattresses were sinking in. Complained to the front desk. They brought in plug in air fresheners. My family members felt nauseated and were falling sick. I had to make a quick reservation in another hotel not far away and checked out. Front desk personnel mentioned refund was not possible. I do not know how how this hotel has a high rating on trip advisor.

We booked using a smartbox: at the reception professional and fresh welcome; room equipped with everything you need (including disposable slippers) and tasty and rich breakfast. We arrived into Palermo train station and had a 25 minute walk along a very busy road to the hotel which was reasonably easy to find, although the outside is not attractive and you start to wonder what you have booked, once you get out of the lift and into reception, you are greeted with friendly welcoming smiles from the many helpful young staff. Our room was very big, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The contents of the mini bar are free (water, coke, orange), there is a kettle with tea,coffee etc., toiletries in the bathroom. We slept well and were given ear plugs but didn’t need them. The location is very good. The breakfast was basic but very good. I recommend this hotel for a short stay.

Last weekend with my wife we stayed in this really very cozy hotel in the center of Palermo. For more than 10 years now, when we come to Palermo we always consider this Hotel a few steps from the Teatro Massimo because it has all new rooms, perfectly clean and functional as well as a truly exceptional breakfast. In addition, all the staff has always been courteous helpful and efficient. A really nice hotel in the city centre
