we arrived well after hours and the owner (bless her) was coping with a terrible storm and v torrential rain, but tended to us and even offered us food if we needed it, despite the terrible weather, thankfully the weathe was great for the rest of the trip. we really enjoyed having breakfast on the roof. our room was large and comfy, and we had a really good rapport with the owner. As i said, excellent location in the city.

You can imagine to go back into the time. The host is a kind lady and she’s a very helpful person, even if a considerate guest. My husband and I chose the little flat (1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 lovely private garden where we usually eat). Good position near by a little bus for the centre, but you can walk as well since isn’t far from the house.

There were a few things we liked about our stay and many things we didn't. The room was spacious. The air conditioning was superb. The setting for breakfast (on the rooftop terrace) was lovely). The location is OK although as noted by other reviewers, it's about a 20 min walk to the centre of the city. The ability to park easily outside is a bonus (we had a rental car). But ... the check in was weird (the owner kept insisting that the second bed be made up. Had she not ever hosted a gay couple before?!). We had to pay cash up front (which we weren't prepared for so didn't have). The room was very basic and rather run down. Lamp shades that fell off as they were just sitting on top, the toilet seat which was coming off the loo, a cabinet in the bathroom that was falling apart and a general cheapness to the room. Fluro lights everywhere. Ich. The owner's apartment is rather nice (you need to walk through it to access the breakfast terrace) but the room we had was a far cry. The key to our room was extremely hard to use and took many attempts to get in and out each day. Just replace the lock!! Not hard. Overall, the staff were friendly and the owner's son speaks English well. It's a quirky place and won't be for everyone but it suited us ok and for €60 a night, was reasonable value.

Myself and my girlfriend visited Palermo not knowing much about the place but being drawn by the history, beautiful scenery, beaches and cuisine. After stumbling across Cleopatra almost by accident we were delighted to find a place that we could comfortably call home for the duration of our stay. You're guaranteed a warm welcome, a fantastic breadth of local knowledge and a comfy bed for the night. I'd highly recommend the Cleopatra B&B as a base when you're exploring this beautifully rich and welcoming city.

We a group of senior ladies ages from 68 years to 82 years. Stayed from 11th June until 15 th June 2016. The welcome was very poor and had requested four single beds which the owner confirmed she could provide. This not case as initially shown rooms with no windows and double beds. Eventually the two eldest were given room with single beds but other two had to share double bed or one would have to sleep on sofa. Owner only communicated through her maid and had very little to do with us. Her attitude was unwelcoming to say the least. Our breakfast was very poor we were given toast and jam and some dry biscuits with coffee and juice. On first morning we were also given some fruit but on the rest of our stay none and when we asked were told there was none. The beds were clean as was accommodation but would not recommend to anyone. The pictures online are nothing like the Actual accommodation. We enjoyed our stay in Palermo very much because of the friendly welcome we had from all we met. The exception was this b&b and the unwelcome manner of the owner.

I would suggest to all. Nice location, nice service and a very nice sea view. I would go again my next trip. The lady is very kind and ready to suggest for bars and restorants. I would suggest the rooms on the top floor.

I was in Palermo with my mum for 3 days, we stayed at Cleopatra B&B for 3 nights. The location is very good, 5-10 min walk to the port and also very close to via Vittorio Emmanuele. The room was large, clean and cozy, the b&b is situated in an old fortress. We had breakfast on the terrace which was on the roof of the property and there are many many wonderful exotic plants and you can also see the sea from the terrace. The owner is a nice lady who welcomed us very kindly and the lady who helps her, an asian, calm and extremely nice and polite lady served us breakfast every morning. The breakfast is basic, a bit of jam, butter, bread, nutella and fruits and the coffee is great so it's more than enough. We could've come and leave any hour, they give you keys from the main door so you won't have any trouble if you wish to come back in the morning after a night in Palermo. I wish you a good stay, i highly recommend this b&b. Also, there is a very beautiful church in baroque style, Santa Rosalia, situated right behind the hotel and if you're lucky enough you get to see their processions/celebrations. There are restaurants around and places where you can have an icecream or local fish dishes.

When I decide to stay in Palermo, for job or short holydays, I am used to choose the Cleopatra B&B. Its rooms are comfortable and very picturesque in a fascinating ancient building in the Foro Italico, near the Palermo harbor and the City centre. The owner is a very polite woman, who will offer you a rich Italian breakfast with milk, moka-coffee, yogurt, fruit juice, jam, nutella, baked bread, biscuits and fresh fruit. The B&B Cleopatra is located in a moderately quiet place, near two "trattorias" of fairly good fish. Enjoy your journey in Palermo.

Six months ago I booked several rooms in this b&b for a wedding I was organizing. The owner, Mrs Lo Bianco, showed me the only room visitable because the others were occupied and then took me on a grand tour of the place. She showed a beautiful sitting room, that you accessed by descending a lovely, old marble staircase, into a room that gave onto an incredible garden and was full of antiquo furniture and interesting accessories. She then took me upstairs to a stunningly beautiful roof garden over looking the sea, and told me that this was where her guess had breakfast. What she cunningly omitted was: 1) the roof garden was off limits at all times except for breakfast; 2) all the areas she showed me, except the bedroooms, where off limits at all Times, as that was her house and not part of the b&b. When my first guests arrived (a couple and a single man - the men brothers) they were given two very small cramped bedrooms, with one small window in each so high up you couldn't see out, with one bathroom to share. We had to pay extra to get one of the nice rooms so they could each have a private bathroom!!!!
